Hi Guys…..
Hope you all are fine.
As we all know remake of Sholay is in process. The changes are as expected….(as what media says)
There is no village scenes..
Old Gabbar was a threat to a village..but this new Gabbar is an underworld don.
Old Gabbar was in military jacket …this new one is in stylish jackets..
Basanti is now Ghungroo (played by Nisha Kothari)
Dhanoo is now Laila
Veeru Ajay Devgan (earlier played by Dharmendra)
Jai is played by Mohit (James, Shiva hero) (earlier played by Big B)
Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar) role is played by Mohanlal (Superstar of Malayalam Movies…played C.B.I inspector in Company starring Ajay devgan and Viveik Oberoi)
Voices raised from every corner.. that Old sholay should not be remake.
So according to u all… Has Ramu( Ram Gopal Varma) done the right thing by going for a remake??? I personally think no. I doubt that the magic created in the first movie will be created again with the remake.
Will there be comparisons? (No doubt media will compare with its reviews, but how you will approach for it) Yeah of course media will compare its reviews. I think that yes i may compare it as well but let's see how it turns out to be.😊
Can the above actors do Justice to there role? I'm not sure probably Big B will do his best in the movie though i would've preferred him not doing the role of Gabbar. Ajay Devgan may be able to do the part of Veeru but i think that he would've suited more doing the role of Jai. The rest of them im not too familiar with their acting so i can't say anything but i hope they do justice to their roles.😊
No Doubt Big B is an institute of acting in himself, but can he justify the role? Will he be able to clear the image of Amjad Khan (old Gabbbar) and make his image as Gabbar and leave a trademark?
I think that maybe Big B will be able to do it though i'm not sure if he'll be able to take the place of the old Gabbar (Amjad Khan).. No, i don't think he can clear the image of Amjad Khan because the certain dialogues that Gabbar had said at that time are still remembered even today. So unless this new Sholay has some great dialogue i don't think it can take the place of the new Sholay. About the trademark..i think that Big B might have his own style of portraying the role of Gabbar and that might be a success and might not. Though, of course the old Gabbar cannot be forgotten according to me.😊
After seeing the promos I felt that theme might be same but it is completely different movie Ramu is using name for advance publicity?
Yes, maybe he's using the name of the old Sholay for publicity and i do agree that even i saw the promos and i felt it to be different from the old Sholay but anyways let's see how it turns out!😊
