I saw this Rajesh Khanna&Sharmila Tagore starrer for the first time when they telecast it on Doordarshan, when I was quite young...Didn't understand a thing obviously 🤢 ..And thanks to my mom, she conveniently avoided half of my questions with her red eye and all...
I forgot all about this movie over the years, except its beautiful songs..Thanks to 'Raina beethi jaaye', I could use it in the singing competetions and won some prizes too..'bada natkhat hai' is another gem..and the poignance of the movie is reflected in the song 'Chingaari koi bhadke'...And the opening song by Pancham da is a classic by itself..All in all, the music of this movie set Pancham da into a league of his own...
I watched this movie again y'day...Its a piognant story of selfless love, humanity and compassion of a girl called Pushpa...No doubt the movie is a bit too away from the reality and some of the scenes were too filmi..However the emotions that were portrayed, did not seem like fiction, they seemed so real and beatiful..The way in the end she found her family through her selfless love and giving nature, is truly incredible and heart warming... 👏
Ok there, don't start scratching your brains as yet saying 'get to the point, what is there to debate here???'There are some questions that I always wanted to present here in DM to all you intelligent and sensible debaters, just out of curiosity, as to what your POV would be in these matters...After watching the movie, these questions again came to the forefront...
So my questions are:
1.Is love really selfless???
2.Is love the only ingredient that makes a relation successful and everlasting???
3.If not, then what is it that makes a relationship successful???
4.Do we need to legalize/name the relationship to make it selfless and everlasting?
3.Lastly, what are your views on the movie 'Amar Prem'??? 😳 , ok this after watching the movie..I am curious if any of you liked the movie or you just think its another Phillum..
Cheers,
Raksha
