What do IF-Forums members think about copyright infringement, about people who are stealing the intellectual property of others and are making money with it?

one shud have self respect before even thinking about doing so... its a loss to the person him/herself - one day or the other s/he will get paid with all dues unless the person is emotionless or doesnt have any (guilty)feelings

yo... but legal copyrights cant be copied that easily... ofcourse with some manipulations... but there are several such mechanisms to avoid piracy ... it is difficult to successfully protect ones own copyright but is also essential to make it sure so that the persons get caught with valid evidences & rights...

Even if you have all those evidences and they are 100% valid as a proof, the person who stole your property could try to manipulate those evidences. Also he could live somewhere where copyright violations are not really a crime.

thats what... this issue is to do with one's ownself more than any legal formalities.... there is a big court on top of all courts and a judge who sees the truth but waits... shud have faith in God...

I am asking whether copyright infringement (stealing the intellectual property of others) should be punished, tolerated, ignored or supported?

If you know somebody who steals intellectual property and makes money with it, what would you do?

Let us assume, a friend of yours does it.
