Negative thinking or seeing the other negative side of any task actually ensures success?
Your views????
I would not call it negative thinking...I would call it healthy skeptecism. Being skeptic is good whereas being negative is not. For example:
Scenario: you are married, have kids, work full time job.....a promotion is coming up but you need to knock out one of the certification exam out of your way for you to be eligible for that promotion
Task: Preparing for an important exam that is a week away.
Negative thinking:
OMG....how am I gonna find the time to prepare for that exam. There's no way I can pass it. If only I had time....did not have kids' responsibility.....was not married.......etc. etc.
Skepticism:
Okay...exam date is approaching near....what can go wrong that could adversly affect my preparation.....hmmmmm....kids could fall sick - talk to the baby sitter that I might need extra help this week........might not get enough time for household chores - butter up hubby and tell him about the big raiseđpaisey key liye sala kuch bhi kareygađ.......a report is coming due right before the exam-work overtime a week before the week of exam and knock the report out of way and also roll over some OT hours to the week of exam so that I can take couple of days off right before examđ
Positive thinking...actually "way over the top" kinda positivenessđł
bhai, exam hee hai ...koi kumbh ka mela thodi na hai ki barah saal mein ek baar aayega. Iss baar pass nahi huey toh agley mahiney phir schedule ker lengey. Promotion hee toh nahi mileyga na....raise hee toh delay hoga na....ki fark paynda hai. Roti shoti toh chal hee rahi hai na.....abhi toh IF per badi hot debate chal rahi haiđ Chalo, padhai key bahaaney wireless network ka maza loota jaayeđ
Personally I think to be negative, is good . Person can mitigate the risk and strive for success.
Raj, I would suggest be skeptic....not negative. Negativity can never be good.....just my point of view heređ
