Background: There are instances you meet or converse with ppl in day to day life who always are unlikable for you or raise red flag against for you, irrespective of what you say or think.

Person can be part of close family or someone you met under professional/online circumstances.

What's your take on such people, pls give frank opinion –

Option 1 – confront that persons and take him/her head to head, fight till either u quit or that person gives up.

Option2 – Ignore that person and just work on ways to ignore that devilish character in your opinion, no matter what he/she does?

Ofcourse it depends on the situation. But I almost always take option 1 when it is family / person I meet under professional circumstances and yes, I make sure not to quit and not to lose😉.
Online, I have involved myself in 2 encounters so far and once I fought myself and once I chose to quit but came back with real support from husband and other online friends.
However, in chat rooms, when online folks use dirty language / remarks, I choose to ignore them. People who one fights with / argue with must also have some class, right?

You are blessed with healthy brain 👏 ( yeah thats compliment - this is the part u say Thanks you and not question me why am making this comment.. lol)

My opinion is same, if the person is level headed prove ur point but a person stups low, ignore no matter how he/she abuses you. This post was based on recent experience, but your response asserted ignorance in my reaction, cooled down by blood which always wanted me to punch that person in face if I was right and had the flag of morality/innocense held high.

BTW - please don't investigate this is all made up😉

Over the yrs I have learn to pick the fights that I want to fight and people I want to confront. If there is a strong reason I will diplomatically and professionally fight until the end. There are some fight not worth fighting just waste of time and energy.

If some one stoops so low (No class) and one u can't even talk with basic commonsense than I refuse to stoop down to their level and I just ignore and move on. No reason to waste time and feed their silly ego.

I personally believe in talking things out in improving communication or relationship but there is so much one can do. It is a two way traffic and if I get dead 🤢 end than it is end of story for me . Time to move on to bigger and better things in life 😃 IMHO

😛 I choose not to take that option, there is no point really, because jnormally if you were in that situation then the person yiu are fighting against is not the type that is mature, intelligent and sensible. They are more trouble than they are worth. Believe me, been in that situation where i have thought many many times about actually slapping the person, but its too much trouble, will create a bad image for myself and aslo the other person was not the mature, educated person that would ever see sense and change for the better.

😊 I have also done this,to ignore the respective person. Not worth the hassle wasting my breath on that person. So gave her the evils instead. 😆 LOL j/ks.

No sometimes if the person is a close friend, and so u wuld reason with them and confront them. But if they were just stupid, i wuld not bother. I hate arguing for the sake of arguing. I tend to ignore people if they have annoyed me and they were not a good friend of mine or family.

I generally go for option 2(I have loads of patience, and I hate arguing and unpleasantness), but again my reaction would depend on ths situation. There have been times when I have ignored misdemeanours, insinuations and instigations; however, when a person persists in such behaviour and is obviously out to get me (professionally, not personally), I go for the jugular! Strange that you should come up with this topic - just a while ago I was debating whether to go for option 1 or 2 with regards to a work colleague who has been on my case for a very long time. This colleague's behaviour is beginning to get annoying, yet I have chosen to ignore because the said person is known to be uncouth and foul-mouthed. However, if it reaches a stage where my professional integrity is affected, I will CONFRONT! Will keep everyone posted 😃

Perfect! pick your battles to fight all along. Professional fight in most cases you know you opponent and I term it more as an conflict as suppose to fight.

Here is my problem, ignoring and moving ahead doesn't it encourage other person who makes it a habit to pick on you and continue this behaviour? How to bring it to end?

Honor it! in most cases thats my route too.😊
