I think to make life easier , you have to be in inclusive mindset rather then exclusive. Therefore I use "Let's do this" or "we are getting late" at home..!!!!

At work even more so to keep morale and work flow flowing smooth. But you have to think independently though. It's tricky but you live and learn.

Yup! Agreed!- Live and learn, so in our subconscience, we should keep in mind that over usage of self reference, as an individual, for non personal aspect might make others think that we are self centred. Right? (tricky sentence, can reframe if a see 😕 in response😊)

Thanks!

Raj- Really good post.

"I" think in professional life using "we" is appropriate at times. Like it is "our" policy, "we" would like you to send us this document, etc. However, sometimes "I" is also important specially as a manager. "I" also gives you little authority like "I" would like you to provide this etc. In professional life when envionrment is flat like all are emplyee (no manager etc.) it gets tricky. Sometimes someone who is trying to cover their blunder uses words like "we" tried it but didn't work. Now here "we" need to be said out precicely...so it could be both ways 😛

Yup! Never thought of that seriously, just felt thats the way they communicate, now we😉 know why.

omg 😆 actually, used to use My Name in meeting like who will do this task? I would say - Anshuman will. But there was this incident when a new comer asked me Who is Anshuman? lol.. was a lil embrassing.. to say thats me.😆 after that quit using self referenence via name.😆

🤣 this too funny...

Hey Mythili - I liked your response😊

Over here, we wish not to hurt anyone and not to make it a general comment. This is yet another PC-protection for an opinion.

(NEETU, no not a laptop case sweety 😳 😳 )

Thanks for explaining QT😳, but I do know PC protection is not a laptop case but Norton Anti-virus😆

What do you say when someone asks you for an opinion😕

I always start of with "I think/ I feel"

Personally, I found Juhi's 'hum' in her initial movies quite annoying. What's wrong in saying 'main'.

The only time I use 'we' is when I had to work on a group report or presentation and had to field questions on the same. Otherwise in normal conversations, it's always "I/ Me"

Did I totally miss the point of the post??😕 Coz all the people I know do the same
