Well said, its so tru, we really don't have a choice. We often get upset with the story line and take the anger out on the characters or production, but who is to blame, its us, no one else.

We give them the right to show this stuff cause we watch it!

NO one's fault but us!

I have to agree with Vijay they should get inspired by some of the talented writers here, they are awesome.

Hi All!

I don't think that new TV shows put the creativity on backburner, infact the TV shows have moved to front runner. Those characters are far ahead of our times😆.

I agree that same stuff is shown in almost all the serials but each one displays their character in their own way(on a prolonged time of the serial they all become very foolish that's different issue).

Consider poor heroine and rich hero concept:

Its shown in different manner in JJKN.Where ArmaanSir( Apurva Agnihotri😳) and Mona Singh really acted well.On a long run the serial got ruined Jassi turned to Jessica and all those weird stuff was shown.Even then, I say JJKN is best serial.

The same conceptis shown in different manner in Kaajal. In this also Apurva and that heroine(I donot know her name) are acting well.

How can serial writers bring concepts from heavens. There is nothing wrong in having serials realted to our daily lives. This is not an indication of creativity loss !!

If people think like that

No new invention will be made

No new product will be launched

Cheers,

Mythili

😊 I love asian soaps at the moment they got so good and orignal better than before ....before there only was maybe one decent show on at time..nowadays theres so much choice 😛 ...Creativity well 🤔 what can we say all films and tv take inspiration from somewhere..

Talking about serials i know..saath phere is one that talks about the colour prejudice in india..most of its story lines been unique..so unique 😆 that kasamh se gave them brief mentions and also saloni was on that show.Betiyaan is another unique one with very unique concept for me anyways values of girls in society.

Ekta mai well what can i say 👏 👏 shes done a fantastic job as far as i have seen all 3 of her shows on zee since i never watch star 😕 koshish kohi apna sa and kasamh se were all different ...shes got highest trps so she is doing well and her shows without creativity all would be long dead.

Creativity gets better has theres more competition i say because it means that shows need to be good because they cannot get lulled into false sense of security that because its liked at the moment it always will. The smaller shows are just as competitive..ektaji competes with so many smaller shows without creativity shows would not be able to.

people do moan about morals etc 🤔but dramas a drama you know and as far as i think it does not corrupt anyone i do think to be more creative people need to be more acceptance .....especially in india of the storylines...the stuff that was said over ons i understand where people are coming from and feelings but how are show makers gonna make shows if they not allowed to touch on certain subjects and they need to go back to same old stuff that they know works.
Ektaji ki jai!!

I think it's the 'housewives' category who are more easily influenced by these soaps, people like to watch others problems and enjoy watching how they manage to hide things and handle the matter in a 'way' that we people won't really do in real life because of the norms and values which we have to respect in society. So for most people it's crazy and damn spicy thing, packed with twists. on the other hand intelligent people don't get easily influenced and are less apt to become addicted to them.

We are given what the majority WANT to see!! Don't we face harsh realism every day of our life? So whats wrong with seeing these saas-bahu serials or the hate-love stories if they fulfill our needs. I do agree that Ekta recycles her work TOO much, esp. with Kasam Se which given the popularity, she rolled in to Karam Apna Apna.

But we do have serials like Saath Phere,GKLB or Dulhann....even though they do seem like your typical serial. Their style of telling the story is different!! They don't need the whole lot of twists and turns to get the viewer hooked. Its the content!! And thats why these have given major competition to Ekta K serials.

yaar reema chaltha hai especailly if people do not watch both...all films or serials made by one production house does that..karan does that he recycles names ..music(notice in some he will play music of other serials)..lines ..especially between kajol and srk ....could go on if he can ekta can..woohoo you knowi had to say that reemz😆

Its the content!! true but even they have twusts though..thats why they put in suspense storylines like parani dowari ka raaz And thats why these have given major competition to Ekta K serials.

Nina I am not big fan of Saath Phere but the Purani dowari ka raaz was FAR more powerful than the PR raaz. Ekta's way of revealing secrets are so tiresome and predictable. Its not necessary for secrets to be the main highlight for so many months.

In Dulhann (Haha..yes it rocks the most)...Sindoora has a RAAZ which was hinted upon a few times in the beginning of the serial but then that was it. Dulhann has so much potential even after 5-6 months of running, when usually most serials lose their steam during this time. We are yet to see a change in the 3 principle characters in the serial, Saagar recovering, Vidya becoming bold and Sindoora's secret. Nothing much has happened storywise yet it has pulled the audience!!!

Its not necessary for secrets to be the main highlight for so many months. It was ..i liked it because sharads wife was there...however one thing about that was that it was obvious he has a ex wife 😆 ..pr raaz was great 😊 though again abit predictable...i loved the way that it came out also it was side storyline with other strong ones like others marriage..jai and bani romance..its not neccesary but all serials drag it out even sp i mean its obvious neel was the boss yet they keep it months hidden...

In Dulhann (Haha..yes it rocks the most)😆of course i just do not like it because it reminds me of koshish and sindoor abit i know you say its amazing i belive it just put off it ...Sindoora has a RAAZ which was hinted upon a few times in the beginning of the serial but then that was it. Dulhann has so much potential even after 5-6 months of running, when usually most serials lose their steam during this time. Nothing much has happened storywise yet it has pulled the audience!!!yeh thats because sagars not well you watch the minute hes ok again its gonna lose its charm it happened with sindoor as well minute and koshish well they ended it at that point..but point being its keeping viewers because sagars not well still once he is it will go back to how others are main couple splitting together again...the enemy who trys to put vidya down..you wanna know what that raaz is😆 its probably that alll the propertys in sagars nameand if he has kids it will be in theirs ..tell you now 🤣[/QUOTE]

I totally agree with the aricle…after the success with Kyunki….not only ekta but other producers also flooded the every television channel with mega serials of same type where Kesar Tulsi, Parvati, Prerna, Kumkum and Bani became the eternalcrusaders of justice even after successive generation leaps, sacrificing everything for the sake of their family….and be it a Saloni from sath phere or bani from kasam Se …all r same *sigh*.

Characters cross several scores of age, hardly appealing to our reason, whether life expectancy works wonders on television. Needless to say most of the serials flaunting the lifestyles of the wealthy are far removed from reality without bearing an inkling of similarity with the life of the common people who derive vicarious pleasure from the onscreen heroes and heroines. The time-tested formulae to retain the TRP rates are generation leaps, death of the lead heroes or heroines, their re-birth or even bringing them back negating their death, elaborate wedding ceremonies, etc…..(All shows are same "hum sab ek hain " ….where logic is a strict no no)…..most of us watch those shows to just drool over the guys in the show
The innumerable number of serials endlessly repeats the same stories and also same kind of back ground music over and over again due to dearth of original and creative ideas. The plot is essentially the same, the underlying message is uniform - family unity, but the characters are persistently changed to impart a sense of freshness to the otherwise musty serials

All those serials are soo much depressing that I don't now what type of entertainment ppl (including my mom and sometimes me too😆</????????>) get by watching those show…Karan Johar's movies are absurd too but they are not depressing and most of the time don't get on our nerves

Rgds

A devoted fan of ekta mai

Nina, in Sindoor...Vedika recovered within a month or so which was a stupid move by the makers because they could have done a lot with the storyline. With Koshish, there was a relationship between Kajal and Neeraj but with Saagar-Vidya there is romance, cuteness and they sizzle even the in the sweetest of scenes. Its their chemistry and scenes which make the show different from others. Barring the initial episodes of Dulhann, I haven't once thought of Koshish when I watch Dulhann. And Koshish ended where neeraj got better, Dulhann will begin when Saagar recovers. 😊
