Congratulating the PM of a country for one of the most successful global event is normal. Irrespective of affiliation to any party, religion or ideology, the event was a resounding success and big diplomatic win.

Kudos to the leadership and the MEA for pulling this off. Doing the decent thing does not make SRK a bhakt, it was polite and sensible.

You might not like Modi but stop hating the country and its achievements because of him

Biden couldn't even give a press conference from India because Modi refuses to answer any questions or be accountable to anyone so he can't have other leaders showing anything different. Instead, Biden has to do it from Vietnam.

Modi and his team are well known to force celebs to tweet on their behalf. SRK tried to mark himself and his family safe from harassment. You do what you are pressured to do because nobody holds any real power against state machinery.

The difference between India and World is that majority supports misuse of State machinary because that is being done against people they hate

You see no democratic country in the world would survive this kind of control over free speech but India does because people have been brain washed to an extent that it won't affect them till it happens to them

I never said anything against BJP nor was I against it because everyone can have their political views, I truly wasn't against them till Manipur incident happened and I put a story against it on my WhatsApp

I was shocked to receive this message justifying violence and rape of women in Manipur, I understood how people have been managed and controlled in India.

"It is happening for our country" is what they are told and they happily support everything including rape and murder

We were a country which came on roads against power in 2012 when a woman was raped in Delhi and now this

Mind you, this message is written by a journalist from Madhya Pradesh whose name I can't tell due to privacy concerns

I am in a state where I don't really think all this can change therefore the best thing one can do is work, earn, protect yourself and your family. People who have a heart to support incidents like Manipur, have lost their sensibilities, the ability to empathize is dead

Do you really think hundreds of thousands of people can be thrown in jail? Does India have financial resources and jail capacity to make that possible? How is that even a sensible reply?

They will of course choose to make an example out of the more influential ones to create fear amongst a larger population.

It's incredible how little understanding and awareness there seems to be about how an autocracy is slowly created. One of the easiest ways is to control the media and people in influential positions. Once you shut them up, the next steps become much simpler.

Let's talk about autocracy if it happens..till then let's exercise our right to criticize.

Too much of overthinking and worrying about tomorrow just takes out the fun of living in today.

We should be cautious, not paranoid

Ya there is a history behind what happened in Manipur but that isn't and should never be a justification for what happened with the women..that's atrocious

cant some people be happy for a change that SRK gave a blockbuster in Jawaan and India had a successful G20 summit at the same time? I mean what is this..if I support an SRK movie..I will not support any progress India makes under Modi..and will keep talking about hate and minority rights..as if it makes any difference..your dear golden boy SRK is pals with Modi now..so suck it up..and let go of these silly grudges..-_-

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Meanwhile the Meloni Modi memes are justsmiley36 smiley37 also Sunak Modi memes with songs like damaadjee ..LITsmiley36

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here is what I think..har cheez main ladaai karni nahi hoti..enjoy a good movie, enjoy the memes from a summit..and chill! Internet warrior banne se duniya nahi badalti..if you really want to make a difference to Bharat and think the country is in danger..then seriously why not join politics..smiley14smiley36

To you and all the others thinking like you:

It doesn't matter to me how you interprete this tweet...I simply know that SRK has to be subtle...but those who think like him and have enough imagination to guess the dangers and hate he (& his family) face now more than ever will see that he is still critical towards the Modi government and - in this tweet - its politics of isolation.

Yes, India is absolutely correct in an English written tweet referring to an international gathering.

Actually, Modi - from the beginning - clearly worked for an autocratic state: One Modi-made Bharat...

They are - in general - 'nobodies'...like we here...maybe annoying but of no importance...and how do you know how many of them live in India...also, a bit of opposition 'allowed' is good for the label "democratic".

Do you - probably - still underestimate the importance of SRK in people's mind...and hearts? Still?
