nope. The pak army stands accused of it. Some excerpts from google:

"A new resolution introduced in the US House of Representatives said that the Pakistan armed forces committed genocide in Bangladesh in 1971."

"Pak Army committed genocide in Bangladesh in 1971, says new resolution tabled in US House"

“There was a genocide. Millions of people were killed (in 1971) in what is now Bangladesh, and what was then East Pakistan. About 80 per cent of those millions that were killed were Hindus,” Chabot said.

"And it was, in my opinion, a genocide just like other genocides – like the Holocaust – happened. And there were others that have occurred, and this was one that, thus far, hasn’t really been declared by definition. And we are working on this now,” he said.

"During the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, members of the Pakistani military and Razakars raped between 200,000 and 400,000 Bengali women and girls in a systematic campaign of genocidal rape. Most of the rape victims of the Pakistani Army and its allies were Hindu women."

This is because not 100% people cast their votes to choose.

In India also majority is attained by a party with only 40% of the total population casting their votes.

So it’s not necessary that all people living in a country actually like the politicians or the politics currently going on in a country.

again, a very misleading comment. From the net, in refernce to the latest Lok Sabha elections (2019):

"Around 912 million people were eligible to vote, and voter turnout was over 67 percent – the highest ever, as well as the highest ever participation by women voters. Seat results by constituency."

These percentages are higher than those in most western countries that we consider as bastions of democracy. Ab bolo😉

They might stand accused of it now.

But when it actually happened it was started by Muslim locales.

Because Mujibur Rehman announced that they will not accept Urdu as their national language.

They demanded the national language to be chosen as Bangla.

This is what triggered the tortures and the happenings which led to 1971 war creating a new country called Bangladesh.

I am not being ignorant.

Because my grandparents have been the eye witnesses of all the happenings.

They came to India as refugees in 1970, and then later settled down here.

every army commander uses strong language to motivate their troops. Go to wagah border and you will see militaristic display of emotions on both sides. More important, however, unlike the neighboring country, Indian army takes its orders from the politicians and does not start wars on its own. And our politicians too have not acted to start wars. So please don't fear "loss of human lives" because of anything Indian army or dispensation might start. That's a speech you might want to give other armies.😉

I just don’t fear loss of human lives but also the economy of my country.

Which if war happens will be extremely effected and yes I am extremely concerned about it.

so the bangladeshi locales turned on their own and started raping themselves and other bangladeshis and hindus because west pakistan denied them rights? Do you realize how bizarre your logic sounds?😒😉

Nice try whitewashing a genocide as "happenings"

Nice pivot from "Pak army didn't do it" to "they didn't start it".

Good attempt to deflect and discuss "origins" of a genocide which nobody is either disputing or interested in talking about in a thread about Galwan.

yes the concern for lives and economy is why Indian army or politicians don't start wars. But they sure know how to finish it. Victoriously.😉

Before this started there had been a series of events that took place.

1. In 1947 after partition, it became East Pakistan and West Pakistan.

Then in 1958, first military rule was imposed and it was Ayub Khan.

Then slowly, they started discriminating between East and west Pakistan.

Since East Pakistan consisted of more Bengali speaking people, they were deprived of their rights.

It slowly led to uprising.

But it gained momentum when Mujibur Rehman was denied taking the office as he was elected.

2. This led to the uproar of making the national language of the country as Bangla, but since Muslims had majority they didn’t want it to happen.

3. Then on January 20,1969 there was a student protest from Dhaka University and a student Azad was killed.

This laid to the uprising of the protest.

Automatically, to suppress them they started using violence.
