Values, Education or Money... ???

Values with no money and education can't bring beneficial changes for society and people in general..

Education definitely can bring money but without values is as useless as without having it at first place...

Money can give power for sure but without values or education can only serve in making a person more and more selfish...

So, what's most important in life ?? What out of these three, according to you has highest priority??

LoveXiaomi, All the three are definitely important.

Why do we talk about money as evil? The truth is money is not evil. At the same time, a lot of people lose their values in their process to earn money. And those people who lose their values to earn money are those who don't have skills constructive for the society. The skills here can be obtained only by education. While money can be earned by evil ways, you can't earn skills by evil ways. To perfect skills, one needs sincerity.

The purusharthas are such that Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha in that order. Dharma is values here. Artha is money. Thus values come before money but just having values doesn't make a person complete and if a person says, he won't earn money that point itself means he has no values. And to earn money using values, one needs to have proper skills obtained by education.

Because, people resort to obtain money by losing values, we are told that values are more important than money. At the same time, just because someone has values and he says he won't earn money, a time will come he will lose his values.

One can thus see the connection between these three necessities of life.

Obviously, all 3 are important. But if I have to prioritize:

#1. Education
#2. Money
#3. Values

Education can make me money and depending upon the type of curriculum, and my major, I have a shot at learning ethics too. Values are also imparted by teachers and parents to the student on a daily basis, through unconscious integration (Dos and Don'ts).

If I have money, I can always pursue education whenever I want, after financially securing myself. There is no bar to learning.

But money has a lesser priority than education because of the permanence factor. Once learned, you stay learned. Money on the other hand can go poof anytime.

Whether or not you really have values, the law will make sure that you don't overstep. If you do, you may go to jail. That fear alone will keep you in check. Hence it is last in my list.

I will say BALANCE of these 3
This is the only way to live fully in life

But Priority wise

1 - Values

2 - Education

3 - Money

But 1 & 2 are highly interconnected and these 2 will led to give 3 rd one here 😛

When I talked about values, I consider the following also as values:
Hardworking
Adventurous
Courage
Strength
Intelligence
Valor

I don't a lot of different between education and values. It's important that moral value be a part of education because Indian values often collide with Education. E.g. My education taught me women and men are equal but in India there's no moral values given with that. So at home when this rule should be applied, a girl demanding her husband to help her, demands her freedom of wearing and doing whatever she wants, she's seen as the ultimate vamp who has no values. Hence I prioritize Education with moral values. Else our civilization is going lower than it already is

@K.Universe I totally agree to your point, but here is my take on it which is highly rebuked or liked depending on your state of affairs.

#1. Money
#2. Education
#3. Values

# I put money on top, because most of your life is consumed by living a elusive comfortable life. For this we need money and people are known to go to any extent or lengths to gain money leaving morals or ethics behind in dust.

# Once you achieve money, you will become an A+ Grade asshole. So to prevent you from doing that you need education. This will give you a prospective of what the world you are living in is as seen by others and pits your thinking against or aligns it towards like minded.

# Values are learned as part of your education through reading, listening and emulating what your elders have thought to be right or wrong. Individual values are skewed by education.

What do you think?

Well, we gain knowledge and skills through education both of which have served us well in our evolution from the Paleolithic age to the digital age, from using simple stone tools to complex smartphones.

Money is just a medium of exchange; what matters are the underlying goods and services. For instance, I could teach you programming, you could teach me how to play the piano, and we are even. No need for any exchange of notes or coins.

All the banks could go belly up tomorrow, all the currency could devalue to nothing, but our knowledge and skills still bring an intrinsic value to the table that will make us survivors. Heck, even life figured that much out hence the passing of genes, which is nothing but code, from generation to generation.
