What are people's views on self-flagellation? (Or well, similar forms of it)

My jaw dropped when I saw this being practiced openly a few days back. That too, with council permission. No whips, canons etc involved so no bleeding but personally, still found it rather disturbing. :(

May is winning it and Brexit would be ignored. Postponed till an excuse is sought. I am more interested in how Labour recovers, if at all.

People practice polygamy even though its illegal. Only one of the marriages is legal. The rest are all religiously recognized marriages, but not lawfully recognized ones.

I am rooting for Germany and Federer. I want Federer to retire after this win. I hate seeing him loosing.
