Hi all. A patient goes through so much and whatever he goes through is known only to him. I'm speaking of the ones who suffer from health problems that make them bed-ridden and their life(career, family life, their very mobility) dysfunctional and have long convalescing periods, full of uncertainty and fear.

Not only are they mentally, emotionally, physically drained out, their family/ loved ones as well are. It takes lots of courage, love, patience, optimism, faith to travel the journey of recuperation. In such a stressful road to recovery, there are moments of frustration that can push the patient into depression or take an extreme step like suicide.

Have you ever been a patient? Or a caretaker of one? How was your experience? How did you manage yourself through?

Please share. Thank you.
Sorry for making a gloomy topic, feel free to share experiences.
