Country like india ,Development and environment are two sides of the same coin .India and China with over 35% of the world's population are on a high-growth trajectory. This growth comes with a hidden environmental cost, issue like dam, urbanisation ,metro rail project highly affect the everyday life of middle class indian and also environment
regarding new dam constriction issue makes atleast above 60% tribal as displaced
i thik Govt need to balance b/t ppls and development project

what u think ?😊

When a country is developing, it only cares about GDP growth. Ecosystems be damned!
Then, once all the damage is done, you get ghost towns (Detroit then & Detroit now). Sigh.
As right as you are, ain't nothin gon happen. Not now, not in ten years unless someone can promise sustainability with bring monies (no can). Another sigh.

Just found out this absolutely stunning wetland + forest (some rumor that they may leave the wetland alone but the forest is a goner either way) near my place is being cleared up to make room for commercial buildings. I have lived in paradise for half a decade now with the stream of fresh water being just steps away from me. Morning walk with deer as the backdrop and cold water under your feet is something tourists pay truckloads for & now, because of some big business' big dreams, it will be gone. To say I am unhappy would be an understatement. My country claims to be green. It's not. It's really not. Reminds me of the Niagara walkway all over again. Sigh.

I think we have almost ignored Human/Environment development in our blind persuit of Economic development.. how much do we spend on Social sector, on Health, on basic amenities and Environment !!? peanuts!! ...some situation Govt. forget or we forget the matter that, Human/Environment development and Economic both are closely tied to each other.😊
