I accept that other religions also have some people that commit violent acts, but they are usually contained and relatively small. The Islamic terrorists have made it organized and have an extensive network that takes care of everything from funding to execution. Sort of like running a businnes. That is what boggles me!

What you bring up are all excuses for terrorists. The kids get wrong information about Islam, so they become terrorists. If I were to buy that, I would have to ask, why? Why isn't anyone doing something to counteract that? And if they are, why is it not making a difference or not enough of a difference. Surely, we can all conclude that there are far more sane muslims than terrorists,so their collective effort should bear fruit.😕

Also majority of Muslims live in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia .. and not in the Middle East .. so why do people keep saying Muslims are behind terrorist attacks?

People are not saying that muslims are behind terrorist attacks. It just so happens that most times when the cause of a terrorist act is looked into, it leads to terrorists that claim to be doing it in the interest of Islam!

Every religion can be twisted in ways to turn to terrorism, I feel. Doesn't Hinduism talk about dharma .. I guess you could make fighting evil your dharma .. and go kill people 'coz you decided its the right path for you!

I suppose, one could! But, how many such people can you find? I don't want to get into what is "dharma" on this thread, but may be you can put across this question to the Swamiji you will be seeing soon? Would love to know what he says about it.😛

Sweets, I doubt any of these terrorists are religious Muslims.. they are just using religion to hide the real cause .. not sure what that is .. unemployment, poverty, frustration ..? And the ones who get recruited.. not sure if they are unhappy .. more like gullible I guess!

Yes, but what interested me was the part about wrong info about religions, which is so true and something that I had ever thought about!

'coz the ones who are supposed to protect us are too busy make promises and not doing anything about it 😡 The only time they do something is close to elections! But then again I doubt terrorist training could happen in a country with no government support... seems impossible! People in higher places must be supporting and funding all these activities! As for the kids, maybe their parents don't know what they are doing .. wonder how this training happens.. is it residential, in which case won't the parents notice if the kids are away .. or maybe schools are involved and they advertise as a field trip or something! Anyways like you pointed out, definitely people higher up are involved!

Yup.. and you would think these people could actually put this talent into good use .. Or are they so blind that they can't see what they are doing is wrong?
