@Summer, also if you are talking about it in terms of relationships, familial, platonic or sexual, if you love and care about them, their imperfections will never bother you .. you might never even notice them! It is only when people annoy you or get on your nerves, that their imperfections are crystal clear!😛

Ok, after reading your topic, I am not exactly sure what you mean?
Are we talking about choosing friends or partners, after knowing about their imperfections? Then the answer is no .. if something about them bothers you, then stay clear .. the last thing you need is additional stress from friends and partners.. sheesh!🤔

Yes it does get confusing. But I was referring to human relationships. This can be further applied to various aspects and roles played.

Generally I think that we should not expect everyone to behave and act the way we want. The fault and problem may often lie with ourselves too.
But I do believe perfection exists. We all have come across simple, humble and nice people. Some persons may seem outwardly fierce and demanding but actually have hearts of gold. There are those that dedicate their entire lives for a good cause too. I would say they are perfect in their own way and am glad they give hope to the rest.

I don't think anybody's perfect. Everybody has flaws.

According to me, someone is perfect if they can accept that they have flaws and not expect others to have no flaws! A relationship will work if you accept someone despite their flaws! But then again, if their flaws bother you, the relationship will never work.

@Bold, agree to the first sentence, but disagree with the second!

Generally we do see all kinds of peopple around and often it is best that we avoid them. But to expect all to meet our requirements is too much and I guess we have to make some concessions in order to have a reasonably good relationship.
Humans are often creatures of wild mood swings like the stock market or affected by Lunar and other planetary movements. At times one man's meat is poison to another.
No matter how tolerant we are there are certain issues or habits to which it must be a strong no.
I have never liked smoking or smoker either and it is sad to see my friends requiring medical treatment because of smoking...--tolerance isn't supporting smthing u agree with, its supporting smthing u dont agree with...

I believe the world is filled with lots of imperfection, those who can't enjoy the imperfection they will suffer...those who think they are perfect they look or act like a dead dodo😛...its a full stop..so better use commas, semi-colons... those can accept they are perfectly imperfect...or accept yourself as you are with joy, they can move forward, they feel more growth...otherwise you will stuck somewhere in middle.!😊

Thing is, everyone has their own definitions of 'perfection'. There isn't any standard definition for perfection and even if there is, not everyone would abide by it. We all have our own theories to what perfection means to us, so it varies from person to person. To me, nobody is perfect and we as human beings are flawed but despite that we have people who love us, for whom we are perfect (even if we aren't actually). It depends on a whole lot of factors, but since I am flawed and I have my share of imperfections, I don't see why I wouldn't accept other's imperfections when they have readily accepted mine. As long as someone's imperfection doesn't harm you or people in broad sense, its called peaceful co-existence. So the answer to your question is, yes.

Human realationships are very complicated.
I think the mind is the culprit in most matters. It can paint a positive or negative picture. If we think a person is very nice, we could be disappointed when they do not act or behave the way we expect them too. Similarly when we think bad of a person we are filled with hatred.
Most people need a bit of space to breathe and even the ones we love the most need some breathing space. We cannot order them round and need to give a bit of respect.
Our tongues can destroy a friendship of many years. fortunately good friends do understand.

Expectations would be the key culprit here. Human relationships become a lot more complicated when one starts to expect, or expect way too much - Including expectations of one to work on their imperfections. So, the less you have of them the better, I guess. Adds to the space one needs as well.

Tongue does destroy. Being able to express through words is a gift & a curse - does harm just as much as good.

If each individual soul is a jigsaw puzzle piece then we need all of them to see a complete perfect picture.
In practise I agree that we should basically select our friends carefully and keep away from those that are undesirable.

I hope so too, Vintage. 😆 .. Heads up though - I've been through 5 step-mums, 7 step-dads & 19 half-siblings .. after my parents dropped their expectations from less to none. 😆

Yes in relationships we tend to expect too much from each other untill better understanding can be reached.
If everyone did what they are supposed to do, then everything will be okay. However, there are people who are driven by greed and personal interests. There is a mix of both good and bad in this world and we just have to be wary.
