Pranit killed it today
Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker died in a car crash this afternoon when his friend lost control of a Porsche GT and collided with a telegraph pole.
The star's representatives and official Facebook page confirmed his death this evening.
Tragic accident: Representatives for actor Paul Walker have confirmed that the star died in a car accident Saturday afternoon
Walker, 40, was a passenger in the high-powered super-car when it spun out of control in Santa Clarita at 3:30pm today.
The actor was giving rides in his new Porche when the accident occurred.
The LA County Sheriff's department has confirmed that two people died in a collision at 3:30pm today, but no names have yet been released.
However, representatives for the actor have confirmed that Paul Walker was one of the two men who died this afternoon.
'It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,' reads a Facebook update on Walker's official page.
'He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW.'
Walker was reportedly an investor in the Always Evolving auto shop in Valencia, California and was in the area for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort.
Witnesses at the crash scene posted video of the site on YouTube, showing debris from the crash and emergency workers cordoning off the area.
The actor was best known for playing Brian O'Conner, the rev-head in the high-grossing films in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Walker rose to fame after playing Lance Harbor in the 1999 film Varsity Blues.
He is best-known for his starring role as Brian Conner alongside Vin Diesel in the hugely popular Fast & Furious franchise, but his career began when he was just two.
Walker, the son of a fashion model mother and a sewer contractor father, began modeling as an infant, and starred in a Pampers commercial as a toddler.
He was born in Glendale, California and raised in the San Fernando Valley area along with his four siblings.
Throughout the 1980s, Walker had roles in TV shows including Who's the Boss and The Young and the Reckless before he branched out into films.
His break-out role came in 2001 when he starred in The Fast and The Furious opposite Vin Diesel. The motoring enthusiast performed many of his own stunts in the Fast & Furious films.
Other roles include Brokedown Palace, She's All That, Flags of Our Fathers and the Hurricane Katrina drama Hours, which is set to be released in December.
Walker is the father of a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, whose mother had recently moved to California from Hawaii so the two could be closer.
At the time of his death, Walker was filming the seventh Fast & Furious movie with Vin Diesel. Just yesterday, he tweeted the following message to his followers.
Women have known it for generations - and the proof has finally arrived.
Scientists have found that the female brain is hard-wired' to be better at multi-tasking.
Men's brains, in comparison, are better at concentrating on single complex tasks - whether it be reading a map or cooking a meal.
Scientists found women are better at multi-tasking but men are better at concentrating on a single task after they scanned the brains of 949 people (men's brains, top, and women's brains, bottom). Undated handout photo issued by National Academy of Sciences of brain networks showing significantly increased within hemispheres in males (upper) and between hemispheres in females (lower)
Scientists scanned the brains of 949 young men and women in the biggest investigation of its kind to date. Using hi-tech diffusion MRI imaging, they mapped the connections between the different parts of the brains.
The researchers discovered that women have far better connections between the left and right sides of the brain, while men display more intense activity within the brain's individual parts, especially in the cerebellum, which controls motor skills.
Men also have better connections between the front and back of the brain, giving them a better ability to quickly perceive information and use it immediately to carry out complex tasks.
This means they are better at things such as learning to swim or, as the old bone of contention has it, parking a car. Women are better at, for example, remembering a face, which means making connections between different parts of the brain.
The results are likely to be seen as supporting the theory behind best-selling pop psychology book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - that the sexes are as different as alien races.
Dr Ragini Verma, who carried out the study with colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania, said: Of course individuals will differ, always.
But we said, if you take 1,000 people and analyse the data statistically, what would the male brain look like and what would the female brain look like?'
She explained: The research shows that if women and men are given a task that involves both logical thinking and intuitive thinking, women will do it better - they are better at connecting the left and the right sides of the brain.
The study, involving 428 males and 521 females aged between eight and 22, found that female brains were better at bringing varied pieces of information together.
Dr Verma said: If you had to do a task like remembering a face, picking somebody out in a party, that would require you to connect several parts of the brain. Where did I see that face last, what do I see in this person, do I remember this person from somewhere?
That requires the connection of various sub-networks in the brain - something women are better able to do.'
She said that although it has been known for some time that abilities differ by gender, the study showed that these differences are hard-wired'.
These are connections that exist in your brain no matter what,' she said.
Of course, individually, this will have variability. The next step would be to quantify this variability.'
The findings, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, also revealed that the difference between genders became pronounced only after puberty.
The participants were split into three age groups, aged eight to 13, 13 and four months to 16, and 17 to 22. The youngest group's brains showed far less difference than those of the older two.
The report said: The results showed fundamental sex differences in the architecture of the human brain.

A 32-year-old man allegedly hammered a five-inch nail into his wife's head as he suspected her of having an extra-marital affair. Police said the incident was reported from Sangam Vihar in Southeast Delhi on Thursday night.
The woman, identified as Mamta (27), sustained a severe head injury and has slipped into coma. Her condition is critical, police said.
According to police, Mamta's husband Pappu suspected her of cheating on him. The couple had furious arguments over the issue in the past as well, police said.
On Thursday night, while Mamta was sleeping, Pappu locked the door of their bedroom from inside - their three children slept in the adjacent room.
According to police, Pappu tied up Mamta's hands and legs and taped her mouth.
When Mamta tried to untie herself, he repeatedly slapped her, police said.
He then got a five-inch nail and hammer from another room and hammered it into Mamta's temple, police said.
"Despite her mouth being taped, the children in the other room could hear Mamta scream. They broke into the room to find their mother bleeding. Pappu had fled the house by then. The children called their landlord, who alerted police and rushed Mamta to the hospital," a senior police officer said.

A tear-jerking photo series sees a widowed father recreating shots from his wedding day with the help of his happy-go-lucky three-year-old daughter.
Ben Nunery, 34, from Cincinnati, Ohio, lost his wife, Ali, in 2011 to a rare form of lung cancer, just one year after they had celebrated the birth of their first child together.
This fall, he finally decided to sell the marital home they shared, but before leaving he wanted a lasting memory of his past life there.
I'm still here daddy: Ben and his late wife Ali hold a pose on their wedding day in 2009 (left) and four years later he and three-year-old daughter, Olivia, stand in the same doorway (right)
Then and now: The 34-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, lost his wife, Ali, in 2011 to a rare form of lung cancer, just one year after they had celebrated the birth of their first child together
He and Ali had their wedding photos taken in the property in 2009, one day after being given the keys.
Its sparse, unfurnished appearance made for an ideal studio setting.
And this fall, with the impending move returning the house to its 'empty' state, Ben suddenly got the idea to recreate the same shots from his happy day.
Happy memories: He and Ali had their wedding photos taken inside their new home in 2009, one day after being handed over the keys
Final keepsake: Ben recently decided to sell the house, in a bid to make a fresh start
He told MailOnline that he wanted the images to be 'beautiful reminders of the past' as opposed to 'painful reminders of loss and pain.'
Ali's sister-in-law Melanie Pace, who works as a professional photographer, was drafted back to stage the shots she took of the newlyweds four years ago.
One image saw Ben and Ali posing in the door of their new hallway, another saw them lovingly gazing into each other's eyes next to a window.
Fast-forwarding to the present, little Olivia mimicked her late mother's poses dressed in a pretty pink dress instead of white.
Behind-the-scenes: Ali seen getting her hair crimped on her big day
Like mother, like daughter: Little Olivia mimics the pose as she picks up some curling irons from a vanity rack
Commenting on the day, Ben said: 'I think she's too young to completely comprehend what we were doing.
'She knows her mommy is gone, but I don't think she really knew what that photo session was all about.'
Melanie, who noted in her blog post that she often feels her sister's presence, said she felt Ali's guidance during the photo shoot.
She says feathers act as a 'sign from above' and when she went to take a photograph in Olivia's room and the little girl bent down and picked up something, it was a white feather.
Proud groom: Ben is seen waiting for his bride - she died from a rare form of lung cancer three years later
Sharp learning curve: Since then Ben has been getting to grips with being a single father
'Oh hey sis!' Melanie wrote on her blog. 'Glad you could make an appearance in this sesh.'
Ben said the image which stirred the most emotion was the one of him and Ali in the doorway of the hall.
'At the time, when I was stood there and saw Olivia in Ali's place it seemed very symbolic.
'It wasn't until after the shoot that the significance of it hit me,' he revealed.
Melanie posted the photos to her blog earlier this month and the poignant images soon attracted attention.
One viewer wrote: 'This breaks my heart, these pictures are AMAZING.
Mirror image: Ben says Olivia was too young to 'completely comprehend' what the photo shoot was about
'he seems like such a great daddy . . . [His wife] was absolutely beautiful. This really touches my heart as my husband is fighting a terminal brain cancer. Cancer is a horrible journey, I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.'
Another added: 'Well, I definitely needed a tissue, or a box. These are such special photos.
'The love that you see between them is incredible. You can see a sweet sadness, but hope as well in these photos. Beautiful job. Beautiful story.'
After taking the series of photographs around their empty house, the father and daughter duo said goodbye to it and headed into their new life in a new home.
He told MailOnline: 'We are moved and it actually feels really good to be there.
