Euthanasia -Yes or No

Hey guys i have recently come across the debate mansion forum in IF, I knw i have been here for quite a while now but never checked anything apart from the regular shows forum and regarding debate mansion forum i found it very interesting indeed. So i m posting my first debate topic. Do you think Euthanasia (assisted death- thts wat i prefer to call it) is ethical in terms of terminally ill patients and yes I would appreciate if we avoid any religious debates regarding this topic.This one has always been so close to my heart and I always get with an argument regarding this with my sister too who is a Doctor. I believe that one should have the right to die with dignity and in case of terminally ill patients its a mercy killing but she plainly refuses and strongly stands against it be it case of any patients. So what do you guys think, Is it something one should go for or as my sister says its completely insane to kill someone?
