Now isn't that great? This is probably a cue for all the twisted "juveniles" out there to go on a raping rampage because, well, they can get away without a scratch.

Let them release the juvenile in 6 months and see how worse a punishment he'll receive from the general public than the adults who'll be serving seven year sentences.

So do we need more cases like this? Its to avoid such cases only the law should be changed.

I disagree. They must make exceptions for cases as macabre as the Delhi gang rape. They may not make laws applying to juveniles in general but merely correctional homes for criminals in such cases aren't going to do anything. A guy who can do such an act at such a young age without thinking of consequences, can do worse later also.

Some severe punishment has to be there to act as a deterrent to such crimes and send out message to juveniles everywhere that they can't make excuse of age to go about doing anything!

"Death is irreversible," she said

So was hers.
.

I dont agree with Leila Seth. She shouldn't compare India to most countries. Rape is a disease threatening women. Secondly, I think, each case should be treated in isolation. This woman was brutally raped, tortured and killed. Sufficient justice to her and her family would be death penalty for ALL of them.

Thirdly, rape in India is a rampant disease and is suffocating the freedom of women everywhere. Sufficient measures, at this time and stage would be stringent action against rapists ie death regardless of age, caste, etc.

If he was old enough to use his dick to brutally rape her multiple times and kill her in a manner that'd put prehistoric apes to shame, then he DESERVES death.

Age wasnt a deterrence when he raped her. Why is it an issue now?

"kids" old enough to act like baboons need to be treated as such.

PS: "one case" reference tells me enough about the outcome of this battle. Good Luck Indian women. 🤢

So much for all the hoopla on protests, inviting suggestions, Justice Verma commn and what not! What a shame! If the kid (ya, right) wants to reform, he could do that while in jail too!

She's not gonna get the justice she deserves is she. Even after all the protests and public outcry...nothing will change.
