Hello...😊
I dont know about the foreign places but in India people love to worship god by sitting in satsangs perrforming bhajans and sitting in temples worshipping god for 1001 different things! but do u think it is necessery? the way people totally depend on god for their health, children for their marks, ppl for a life.. means if they just ask it 1nce or tell the same thing a 100 times, will it make a difeerence! means the totally point is Does a person need 2 worship god in a 1001 ways, and their wish will be fulfilled or, the same thing if said once may be fulfilled, or may be not! but do we need 2 peform various rituals?
Fasting is another way ppl show their love... but if doesnt make any differnece then what? ppl dont know if its really god or it is destiny! so Do you think this must be stopped? I dont say i m sure that god is listening 2 every 100th prayer but the blindness ppl show! Is it worth it?

Yes...its totally worth it...God is intangible...its all about faith...and whatever way makes the people satisfied is OK...
Worshipping God is not performing a science experiment in a lab that there should be a set procedure...and no one should be judged on the way they choose to worship their God...if they choose to fast...go to temples, mosques and churches...its fine...
The bond with God is very very personal for me and I wouldn't want anyone to pass a judgement on the way I choose to interact with him...

I don't know anything about worship and how many ways there are. But I know God sure needs more than one topic at a time. 😆

Honestly, I don't care if people wear their Sunday best and sing hymns or dress up in chicken costumes and run down the street clucking as part of worship. Whatever floats their boat. As long as it harms no one people can do and believe as they wish.

I KNOW that he is real and he listens to me...everytime I talk to him...I don't need a proof for all this...and I don't owe any explanations to anyone...😛
People are free to believe what they want to...it doesn't matter to me...afterall personal beliefs are personal...

After being tortured by some atrocious tuneless, off key, banshee screeching bhajan singing by old ladies at the temple when I was a kid, I am pretty much convinced that God is deaf by now.

😆 Banshees should be banned from torturing the devotees. Fortunately the temple I go to has some very good melodious singers .There songs are quite soothing .Try replacing the banshee screeches with this marathi bhajan by suman kalyanpur .😛

He/She is real if you think so. He/She is not real if you don't think so. Whatever you think that will be. Its all relative. Truth is what you believe in the most and hence God's existence completely depends on your thought and your belief. Neither should theists curse atheists for not believing in God nor should atheists deride theists for believing in 'non-existent' God; unless, of course, such belief or disbelief harms the society in any way.

I don't know which religion or country you belong to. But if you have studied Eastern religion you'll find there was a man called Siddhartha Gautam who rejected all Gods and scriptures and rituals and yet reached the highest state of consciousness through atheistic self-meditation. On the other hand there was another man called Ramkrishna who worshiped all possible forms of God (including Allah, Jesus and even his own wife and disciple) through profound devotion and came to the same conclusion.

Wonderful, I am an atheist. 🤓

I don't think it is necessary at all, by the way, Anahita. These lavish expeditions to the temple and trying to imitate opera singers and break surrounding windows are just livid. 😳

But then the whole idea depends on a person's head, you know? Some heads believe it useless, some mean its the world to them, you can't really go out and justify yourself and state them wrong, simply because you don't believe them.

My father for example has his belief all tampered. All the Saturday babas and fasts and everything, they keep changing like some weather forecast. But he's not answerable to my question of why he's wearing that ring with the red stone, simply because I won't bother telling him why I don't believe in God.

So, I think for now, you should just mind your house's windows if you live near a temple. ☢️

Lovely. A good voice and a good tune is all that is required. Bhajans give instant bliss.
