Seriously, though, copying without permission or consent is called plagiarism and is a serious offence. On the other hand, it is sometimes difficult to to distinguish between deliberate work of plagiarism and "works inspired by other sources" or simply accidental similarities that occur.

Why so many Bollywood filmi songs are direct copies of English songs?

At first I thought:
There might not be many examples, but then she listed so many!

I was quite surprised:
Some of the most famous Hindi songs are copies! Examples: Bombay Meri Jaan, Zara Zara Touch Me, Gila Gila...

Don't believe me?:
See for yourself!!!! This website shows all of the copies side by side with the originals:bollywoodcoversongs.com

Do you think we Indians are copying too much?
Some of the biggest copiers are also our most esteemed and famous music directors! What does this mean? Is this even legal?

Please share your thoughts!

Anybody who watches anything like 245 TV serials is bound to turn into a copycat

How do you prove a film is a copy when the audience, judge, or jury has not seen the original? How do you differentiate between inspiration or copying?

yes they do. but that's not the worst part. they blatantly copy and do not even give credit where its due.
