Evolutionary tree is like any other tree structure i.e. each node has 1 parent and more than 1 ancestor. In gen., parent node is referred to as the most recent common ancestor or the last common ancestor - i think this is what u're referring to as the 1 common ancestor.

Nooo....I feel the the gap between the monkey and man seems to be too big....As far as we knw, at least since ten thousand years, there has not been a single case when suddenly a monkey jumped out of a tree and became a man... man has evolved from the monkey at the level of his body, but Darwin's theories against religious believes......😊

LOL.. humans didn't evolve from monkeys, but if you go back far enough, we both had a common ancestor.

Yes internet is great.
But I am also trying to connect with the future.
If every soul gets enlightened in the end, then our future self is a perfect being.
Since time is only a concept which the soul can transcend our own future self should be able to get us out of the present rut.

I think per fossil records the oldest living forms are bacteria. (> 300 mn yrs) . They must have their own place in evolution cycle. But yeah somewhere in the chain, we all probably have a common ancestor.

Now that I think of it, evolution is itself is not theory of origins ...its more about development of these living forms over years. I guess we still do not have enough info about how first living form came into existence ?

There are still many unanswered question that are being researched.
