While I will respond to some interesting comments but couple of points.

For those who missed it, the political party bit is not the only thing I have lamented about as far as youngsters are concerned. I am not a regular on the forum, so am appalled to read that girls are willing to hurt themselves physically over a stupid serial. This bunch is even more pathetic than I thought they were!

But more than that, one huge lesson I have learnt! As and when I have kids, there is no way they get a laptop and a unfettered internet connection! Don't want them growing up all messed up!

And keep 'em away from TV too ... specially soap operas ...

A couple of days ago people had pointed out in a post how I should not have talked about "Indians" being hypocritical, cos we had an image to protect. Well today that image has been completely shot to pieces, lol! So much for being proud Indians!

What are we proud of? Of being so shallow that we will contact a political party to stop something being shown on a TV serial? That too something that is common place? And is minor compared to myriad social issues?

What are we proud of? That our young generation has distorted priorities where stopping an event in a serial is of more importance than real life issues? Shouldn't you use your contact / access for other imp issues that actually impact real and not reel lives?

What are we proud of? That if someone's claim is actually true (and scenes were deleted courtesy a political party) we have jobless parties whose job is to threaten and stop scenes in a serial? What are we telling the world? That a political party would rather be fussed about an "EMA" in a serial instead of development of its people?

What are we proud of? That we will protest an EMA in a serial but will watch a woman being raped, beaten, disgraced in so many others, but watch it pasively in the name of entertainment?

What are we proud of? That we are happy to watch intimate scenes on a serial aimed at young impressionable minds but will sanctimoniously protest a woman succumbing to her desire?

What are we proud of? That we watch a guy have multiple wives or cheat, with equanimity but our modesty gets outraged when a woman does that? Half the b****y male population in the world makes a pass at a woman given half an opportunity but we'll overlook that. But woe betide a woman if she so dares!

Its a sad day, and nothing to be proud of when your young generation is a bunch of confused youngsters with misplaced priorities and misguided passions!

It would be delightfully ironic if the channel got fed up of this nonsense and shut the serial down. "na rahega baans na bajegi bansuri" LOL!!

i could hug you for that, seriously!
that was so so so what i think, what i try to explain to ppl, what ppl unfortunately don't understand.
bt u said it in a wonderfully convincing way!
that was the best thing i've read in quite a while! kudos!

You betcha! Esp when there are good looking men in the serial.. fans' ability to think seems to be inversely propotional to the hero's looks! Sure I've drooled over men in my life, I would not be normal if I had not, but to slit wrists, call political parties, get abusive 😕 😲

But I am wondering why I didnt see ur post abt those 1000 kids who are constantly supporting Adultery? I mean if u are SO bothered, then why not bothering abt the kids who dont watch this show, but live, breathe, dream and have ____ with this show? 🤔 Do u think this show is JUST a show? It may be .. In India.. as it's always out of Top 100 since last 1.5 yrs.. But the impact it has on the youth is not THAT small :) They feel divine when they hurt themselves and that is becoz Armaan was bleeding the same way :) WOW!

I am not concerned abt who contacts Political party.. It's THEIR wish.. And it's NOT illegal.. But what I am worrying abt is the mentality of today's youth.. :) Becoz if Armaan does Adultery, they will also indulge themselves into this CHEAP act and will find it heavenly :)

Trust me :)

Guddi 😃

HI there! Hmmm... you know I dont buy the fact that serials / actor promotes adultery... I see no reason why the serial / actor has to carry the burden of thinking for people😊 ... its a job that they or their parents / elders need to do... I wonder if you've ever watched something called Criminal Minds... Its about twisted human minds and values... doesn't make it a role model for anyone.. it finally boils down to who you are and what you allow yourself to be...

As for oppressing the woman's desire, the Indian society is still living under a taboo not just in India but all over the globe. They are willing to forgive a man's unfaithfulness but if a woman ever dares to openly expresses' her desire then all hell breaks. This is quite disturbing as we are supposed to be living in a progressive world.

You know its a rather unfortunate fact - its the poor who caary the burden of religion and women who bear the burden of our morality! A burden worse than one Atlas had to bear!

I cant believe people ACTUALLY contacted a political party !!!!!! 🤣This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard... Heights of joblessness..both for those people and the so called party!!!!!
I thought I have reached a point that nothing about DMG will amuse me anymore...Boy I was wrong!! 😲
If this is true I dont know whom to laugh at, whom I am more disgusted with ------the CVs who used sex and skin show to boost their TRP, the braindead fans or the MNS people who dont have any better work !!
Anyways for one thing I am glad that I could witness this MADNESS live!!!!!

More than a EMA btw fictional characters, this ridiculousness by REAL people will send out the wrong message to the young kids who watch this show!!
It will give them the wrong message that you must do ANYTHING for your fav show!! Political parties are a bunch of lunatics who wont allow creative freedom!! Our country is run by such people!! There is no freedom for creative expression coz MNS will come to teach a lesson!!
The people who are praising this MNS involvement(if true) must not forget that these are the same people who dont allow a girl and boy to step outside on a Valentine's day.... These are the same people who didnt even spare girls from physical assault when they found them with their boyfriend in a park. Now please dont tell me the girls were immoral and characterless and went against indian culture and values!!

I really truly sincerely wish that this DISGUSTING show end soon.. IF and StarOne FB shutoff DMG forum!!!! You were right on this statement "Its a sad day, and nothing to be proud of when your young generation is a bunch of confused youngsters with misplaced priorities and misguided passions! "

There are soooo many celebrity fan groups who actually do some social services like raising funds, teaching kids, fighting for environmental issues etc... Why cant the (in)famous DMG fan groups involve in something like that if they have soooo much time!!!

Note: Now there is one more group who will dictate the story of DMG -----------MNS!!!

Lamentably and hilarously true! And i love the bit about one more group dictating the story of DMG!😆
It would be fantastic if Star One did carry through its threat of taking legal action, at least these kids will get some sense knocked into them! I'm sure all the passionate and devoted fans are unaware that you can use their IP address to pinpont exactly who and where the abusive emails are coming from!

I agreed with you other post, and today, i agree again!
I don't live in India, but the whole contacting the political party thing is PATHETIC!
I see "EMA" in tv shows, movies, and even in real life!
Nothing new to me. When is Indian society going to change?

Hey thanks!
My point is someone can get offended by EMA being shown but that does merit wasting your time contacting a political party, raving and ranting and getting abusive? Isn't there so much out there in the world to be concerned about? Clearly not, 😕 going by DMG's crazy fans and an equally fatru (jobless) political party if you can even call them that!

Anyway I am not proud of some fans contacting MNS but I am proud of some them who have outright objected to the EMA track that the creatives were planning on showing on AR [and by this I don't mean SR/ArSh fans but rather those AR fans who are a minority but are still there and didn't want their favourite couple to go down EMA route] And ohh wanna bet all the fans who didn't get their scenes are gonna come "like" your post and maybe even post something?😛😆

I wish MNS had actually done that!
As to kids threatening to slash wrists, spending hours on IF and writing to channels/ political parties, wonder if they have any communication going with the outside world or even their parents? When I was a college kid, outside of my college, friends and lots of activities I had scant time to waste online!

I never supported MNS or SS and never will or for that sense any communal party, I don't even support contacting them for the weird reason like this, but as much I don't support this I equally hate young minds fantasizing about couple's intercourse, and support unacceptable stuff like EMA just for the sake of getting their couple on screen.

what astonish me most is grown up kids misguiding young-ones by preaching them wrong and confusing them even more

I second Jot, more than anyone I really wanna appreciate people who took stand for something which they don't believe in. and here bow to the AR fans who stood to with their ethics and believes. and thank you for making much needed sane topic in this forum.

I must admit that part completely fazes me - fantasising about a couple's intercourse... I remember raeding a post that demanded Sid and ridhima's consumation which left me stumped!
Sure fantasising about physical intimacy for yourself is a natural part of puberty and growing up but deriving salacious and vicarious pleasure by demanding it from fictional characters is like weird!
