Forget for a moment whether you believe in the concept of the afterlife. If you were to close your eyes right now and imagine heaven ... what would your heaven look like? Who would be in it? What would be in it? And where would it be?

For me, personally, I don't want imagine anything too lavish --- something simple yet heavenly (pun not intended). I want my loved ones near me, a few crazy fantasies transformed into reality, and answers ... answers to all the questions I've had in life and about life. An explanation of why things happened the way they did in my life. That's all.

In Five People You Meet in Heaven, excellent read if you're looking for something, Mitch Albom writes:
"People think of heaven as a paradise garden, a place where they can float on clouds and laze in rivers and mountains. But scenery without solace is meaningless. This is the greatest gift God can give you: to understand what happened in your life. To have it explained. It is the peace you have been searching for."

P.S. Imagine you really are going to heaven for a second! 😛

I think Heaven and Hell are not geographical or something...people go on thinking everything is somewhere outside....I strongly believe everything within us..its all our mind's creation....heaven is nothing bt their projected desire of having everything....All that they have missed here they would like to have in the after life..... Bt it is the same desire😊

P.S. Imagine you really are going to heaven for a second! 😛
Then I will send you a invitation letter, for a Date, if you dont mind that time Hell ki post box no, dena!!....😉Tonguerlx j/k😉😃

In my heaven, for starters, that second will stretch into eternity. I will take it from there.

Other than what you have already mentioned in your idea of heaven WA, I am going to add some "worldly" stuff 😛
Someone else doing the cooking . Not having to wake up when I am not ready to wake up. Being able to pick up a book and read without interruptions. these are for starters!!!

So far none of the Astronomers and scientists have located Heaven, so we can say it does not exist.

Excellent topic, WA.

Heaven? That's an emotional state, rather than a physical place, of pure bliss. No nymphs, no wines, no luxuries, no gardens...just pure happiness. Now, what would I want in it? Just peace of mind. Eternal peace.

I can't conceptualize Heaven as that is beyond my capacity. I can, however, feel it. I have felt it a lot of times in the past. But every time I want to hold on to that feeling(s) for quite a while and imprint in upon my memory - the feeling just disappears somewhere, and that too, without leaving a trace.

Heaven isn't supposed to be a physical place. It's more of a spiritual realm. So obviously scientists/astronomers not detecting a Heaven makes perfect sense. Possibly Heaven resides within us; we just need to know how to switch the door open and get in.
By the way, that statement wasn't expected from you, Summer. I thought you were the most spiritual one amongst us.
