hey K, givven how we can exterpolate back to past by workin out the curved space-time trajectory of various sub-atomic particles when subjected to background radiation stretching back to planck time with wormholes blackholes and assholes swirmin all around, can we do the same thing for the future? i got scary guys who're sayin s&ps will tank to 400s this fall. talk abt givin a person the heebie jeebies. lol

S&P 500? Mid cap? Small cap? ADR?

Assuming it is the 500 index you are talking about, 400s is way pessimistic. Let's see how the Greece situation plays out.

I do equities; options are not for me even though I did develop a couple of software systems for an options trading firm and I know the basics. As for futures, way too risky and way too much margin.

oh the debate. what of it? they shld bury it n get on with the prize distribution ceremony. i love it it when the speeches r soapy, the words melodramatic, the praise extra sugary. lol

Wait! Aren't you, like, going to cap off your ode to mothers with a Tare Zameen Par song? That would bolster your case, at least with the masses, in case, you have not brought out the tears out of those remaining 5 or so who have not liked your posts yet.

they all sound like an overkill for this contest except this one [ Mama Told Me (Not To Come) ] which sounds quite appropriate for an unwed mother to sing to.

that you did, and very well if i may say so, given what your true feelings (as portrayed above) are.

you argued unemotionally, over some emotional aspects. gauri argued emotionally, over some unemotional aspects.

i would have liked to see you (and others who took india over america in that contest and in that context) go up against real americans. on india forums, it's relatively easy garnering support for a pro-indian stance.

as an fyi, the original topic was about picking a black impoverished family in america and a dalit impoverished family in india, with the time period hovering in late 1950s.

lol ya i know what u mean. i see that with so much mindless chatter ppl like (not mine of course since i never have that lol). but it's really not hard at all. if u try, u can take the same topic other side n debate the heck against urself lol. i do that all the time mentally. lol

to ur other point: if it was so obvious, we'd have ppl jumpin in before. unless we missed something they werentexactly flyin out of the gates before lol

srsly u can take a like-minded group of love-fest buddies n always get em to click for you- there's a bunch that's overly attached to each other that way. lol amazing that people find the need for support groups even in virtual life. reminds me of an entire ecosystem that thrives living off each other. :) there's zero science when it come to predicting what they're about.

now a word in favor of "masses", when u can get folks u dont know that represent a cross-section of viewpoints n get em clickin for u on a serious topic (not chatter), then u know what u got is more than "masses". unless u think that they r stupid. anyways i'd take them over the usual cosy bunch of cronies. every time. lol

at this point one cant wait to see the hypocrisy ppl come up with to justify what they r wont to do. i'd be disappointed if they turned out otherwise. lol. thankfully the contorted reasoning will be there for all to see as it always is. only thing they dont ever realize is ppl actually see thru the farce lol

the credit goes to you for whipping emotions into a frenzy. people dig that stuff, especially indians. no wonder most of amitabh's movies that centered around the hapless mom were blockbusters.

Anyway, now, there is one deadline for me on 15th so I am busy at least till then.

You weren't blogging, Karan. I was there. Sorry, I was busy the last few days so couldn't get to it. I was actually also waiting for you to address some of my other posts that you never got to. Plus your whole exchange offer on assumptions through me off. 😆

Will reply soon. Sorry, again.

P.S. I wish the judges would intervene and help us out on some of the questions about the debate. And also set up a deadline.

I do that too; it's like playing chess with yourself.

You know there's a debate going on with a subject line that reads "Temples should allow non-Hindus, agree?". Try as I might, mentally, I couldn't come up with a even a handful of statements that "disagree". You don't have to post your disagreement over here but I was wondering if you got any. If you against the grain on that topic, do you think you could win?

There are no judges Ajnu. It's a rudderless ship, that one. It's time someone called Sarina's bluff.
