i am not for that either... these ppl dont deserve special treatment for just being born into a certain family dynasty.. but i wouldnt hold grudges against them just cuz they are mogul descendants..😛

Mughal Empire is dead, get over it.... these descendants should live like every other ordinary Indian citizen out there, and they should be treated as such, no special treatment just cause their ancestors built some pretty buildings whilst they went about destroying infidel monuments.

..couldn't have said it better..! 😛

The Indian Government already gave the title of Price and Princess to the children of the Mughals surviving now. Infact the names I mentioned have that title.

Someone mentioned Babar....but forgot Akbar.
Anyways....there are always those who are more interested in the history of India and wants to preserve anything or anyone related to it.

The trusts and organizations have raised a preety expectacular sum already... which have gone to the various decendants, however the bulk is for the closest male decendant now somewhere in UK. He wishes to be back to India and serve in the Indian Army (a wish that will be fulfilled by the government).

@angie4u: Aapke Badshah Salamat ke khidmat main ... 😉

I fail to understand why these ppl are given this sum of money... they dont have jobs.. ?? live in poverty..? are handicapped..?

why not divert these funds to those who live in the slums and not someone already living a grand life in UK..😕😕

Imagine Akbar coming infront of you and saying "Ghuztaaq Meena1 aur angie4u! ... Hamari shaan main hazir kiya jaaaaaaaaaai arrrrggrrr...." 😆😆😆(kidding guyz)
This particular male decendant was living in abject poverty in the slum of Kolkata .. his mother was extremely poor too. Did you read the topic post of this thread?...
Everything this boy now has in UK are put forward in his shaan 😳 by the contributors (its the wish of the contributors to be called 'humble' and the money to be called 'tofa'). 😳
I know it all sounds so odd... the all the Prime ministers of India take this oath to take care of the Mughals. You can find this info online anytime.

The same way someone mentioned Akbar, but forgot to mention Babur?.... Akbar was aight, he was the most tolerant of all Mughals, even if we excuse the massacre of 30,000 at the fall of the fort at Chittor.

The point is... who cares?... Mughal Empire = dead, there is no royalty now, so stop treating people as if they are.
