Not sure if this has been posted already.

Quoting here from the news article
https://www.indianexpress.com/news/stop-blowing-26-11-out-of-proportion-pak-bloggers/546570/1

"Leading newspapers were silent on the tragedy and so were Pakistanis who are active in the virtual world.

With all due respect, so many more people die in our own country every day. How many people remember the victims of Peshawar? That has been burning much more and much worse than Mumbai did. For a minute I think people need to stop blowing 26/11 out of proportion.

Rana's comment seemed to sum up the mood of most Pakistanis, who do not want India to blame their country for the attacks "

For the rest you may visit the above link.

So are we overreacting to the tragedy of 26/11? Are we blowing it out of proportion?
A big NO from me. We were struck by the horrendous act of terrorism which was carried out by their state or non-state actors whatever they would like to call them and now they expect us to not even react to it !! Appalling, they sure do live in denial.

What if right after we were attacked, had we gone and attacked those terrorist camps and hideouts in Pk? Would that have been an overreaction!! NO not at all. But we didn't do it. We waited for things to settle down and reacted by gathering world support, putting pressure on their so called Govt. to take action against their state/non-state actors. The entire world appreciated our measured reaction.

Time and again the only argument PK give is "Don't blame us, we are victims of terrorism ourselves" which I find futile. They might be victims but that is their own doing. As you sow so shall you reap. You cannot escape the blame of creating havoc in other countries just by crying hoarse that you are victims. Today the entire world knows Pk is the hub of terrorism. Even now if they choose to be in denial and continue defending their actions, very well.

Coming back to the subject that are we overreacting to 26/11. NO we are not. It is for us to see how we remember our martyrs. We must remember our brave soldiers and common men who fell in this barbaric act of terror lest we forget their sacrifice. The lives of our country men are not cheap. We must not get accustomed to terrorism. We must always remember 26/11 as it was not mere act of terrorism but an attack on our nation. We must not forget that the hub of terrorism is in our neighborhood. We must be careful, cautious and on our guards to thwart such terror attacks in future. It is even more important for us to react so as to remind our politicians/ministers/govt that we have not forgotten 26/11 and we want you to act and protect our country.

Let us pay homage to our brave martyrs and promise them that their sacrifice will never be forgotten. We must promise them and their families that we will protect our nation from the terrorists casting an evil eye on us. We will act and take action against those who dare to attack our country. We will speak out. We will not sit quiet. We will react.

After 9/11 a lot of my college friends would say, we have lost far more in Terror attacks, we lose lot many people every year than 9/11 so suck up and live with it. 9 years have passed India loses more people everyyear than America lost in 9/11, but America with its reaction stopped losing people to terrorism.

After 26/11 a lot of Pakistani friends of mine said, we lose far many people than you lost in 26/11. so suck up and live with it. A year has passed Pakistan has lost 10 times more people than India to terrorism
The day Pakistani's react the same way as America did to 9/11 or atleast what India did to 26/11. We will see a global retreat of terrorism

No we are not over-reacting. Its better to remember to past to make it not repeat in future but if all we do it to be a cry baby and do nothing positive then its bad.
My salute to all our heroes and silent prayer to those all who lost their lives in such tragic attacks.

It is a shame that while the terrorists Kasab & Ismail took minutes to massacre more than 50 people, the trial is on for almost a year now and there is no definite direction...šŸ˜•

@Gumsum
I agree with your point that instead of crying and whining, our Govt must chalk out strategic and firm policies to deal with external terrorism. It's high time that they start thinking out of the box instead of continuing with the so called on and off peace process.

@Believe
Believe, I do believe that the trial will be over in a week or so. I think 26/11 was supposed to be the last day of trial but Kasab layer's tantrums got it delayed. As per the statement of the defense layer, now the charges will be fixed which will take about 2 months. Though I agree the trial could be a bit faster. No idea how speedy are the trials in US etc for such cases.

I doubt that very much. In that case the whole world would have come together to support India against Pk sponsored terrorism. What I do agree with is that the world sympathize with those who play the victim card.

Of course we are not over-reacting. People lost their lives. Families lost loved ones. How is sympathizing with them or remembering them over-reacting?
If we want justice, how is that over-reacting?
