The big news today was that Rio De Janerio will be hosting the 2016 Olympic games. This will be the first Olympics in South America. Rio beat out Madrid, Tokyo, and Chicago to be the city that was selected. So what do you think of the venue? Is South America ready to host their first Olympics?

Also many were shocked with Chicago being eliminated in the first round. Although some were pleased that America is not the preferred big boss anymore. Any surprises that Chicago did not make it.

Personally, I am sad that Chicago got dissed. Its a bruise to midwestern pride. But in retrospect I'm glad. It will preserve the pristine sanctity of the heartland and not have crazy tourists running around. As for Rio, the only thing that comes to mind when I think Rio is 'Carnival'

I have always wanted to visit Rio, maybe this might be the right excuse. Chicago, what's there besides Wrigley and the Blue's clubs?

Texas, Chi-Town, Rednecks

Are you by chance a closet American with your brilliant geography. 😆

The only big plus of Chicago is Oprah. Who would not want Oprah crying at every medal ceremony. Not a big fan of Chi-Town. Now if the wanted to hold the Olympics in Green Bay that would be a different story. Then we would have a chance to wear the 'We will never forget you Brent' shirt to the Olympics.

Awesome, imagine Oprah hosting a talk show with athletes live at the Olympics.
