Women doesn't know her strenght thats why she always talks about rights n power....In this world...Women don't commit suicide as much as men.... men's suicide rate is double...Although women talk abt suicide more than men -- man ordinarily never talks -- women make much fuss abt suicide bt thy always choose to survive ..if she try to suicide ...her suicide is not suicide but a kind of protest..then husband understand that this is a warning for the future...😳Everybody is condemning him -- the doctors, the neighbors, the relatives, the police officers. He has unnecessarily become a criminal, and everybody's sympathy is for the woman ...😳. after all these facts established by science, the superstition continues that man is stronger. Only in one thing is he stronger and that is that he has a muscular body. He is a good manual worker. Otherwise, on every point he feels -- and he has felt for centuries -- a deep inferiority complex.....😊
To avoid that complex, the only way is to force the woman into an inferior position. And that is the only thing that is more powerful in man..😊

Just wanted to add the African American perspective towards feminism.

In the United States African American (and other immigrant) women were working much before white women. They would work two or even three jobs to support the family. Despite the "macho" image of African Americans, their community holds women in high regard. Women in their community hold a lot of control and authority. It is almost amusing because even tough gang members with guns and machetes will do as told by some frail old black woman yelling and waving a walking cane at them.

Even though black men will act tough and bad A$$ they actually consider women stronger. They perceive men to be weaker, easily broken which is why they turn to drugs, alcohol and violence to cope with their problems. In times of slavery and rampant discrimination the women would endure hardship and struggle on behalf of the family. They would raise kids even when abandoned by their men or losing them to crime. If the neighborhood kids get orphaned women in black communities will step forward to raise them.

African American women view feminism as a movement by bored white housewives who needed something to pass the time. They feel that feminism disrespected and disregarded the struggles minority women have actually gone through to support their families. Since feminism took place in a time of rampant racism in USA they hold feminism responsible for further pushing African Americans backwards because black women losing their jobs as secretaries, nurses, operators as now that white women were working they were 'preferred'.

well, the feminist think that this world is a male dominated world which is true. but i think there are just some perception where the feminists are wrong. of course it goes back to their own perspectives themselves again. there is no right or wrong answer to this, all we know is that we can sit in front of our respective computers and criticize this without giving full solution or answer as to why feminist is seen in such a negative point of view.

In fact, Feminism is a political discourse aimed at equal political, legal and economic rights for women. Going by the definition, I would consider myself a feminist. I'm all for equal rights for women.

Then why is Feminism misunderstood. Would like to know your views.

I think the answer to this question lies in the very image you mentioned : that of a self-opinionated, male-hater. And the image itself stems from the fact that most people who evoke it in their minds have very limited knowledge of Feminism as a discourse. Their first very blatant misconception, that might occur with any discourse really, not just Feminism, is that it is one single homogeneous concept, espoused by its thinkers in the same way, with the same arguments and same intensity, all over the world...which is precisely where the stereotype you mentioned so accurately lies : that Feminism equals speaking up For women, equals Against men...and that always comes coupled with a kind of stubborn self-righteousness, in the minds of those who choose to look at Feminism in the crudest, most unidimensional way there is. And because that is the image they conjure, they usually refuse to look any further.
Feminism as a discourse has also evolved over the decades, with varied intensity, also in part shaped by different social contexts. The first fallacy as far as the stereotype is concerned, therefore, is to consider Feminism a universal concept in the first place, and as a corollary, to see it as radical, wherever it exists. The only solution to the attachment of a negative connotation to the term is perhaps a little patience to delve deeper into it before pronouncing a judgement.
If a couple of Feminists are too aggressive for one's taste, which they can be, it does not imply that Feminism as a discourse is agressive and unidimensional in its entirety.
Nice topic...cheers!
