Sometimes when people boast or show off it indicates an inferiority complex as the person is trying to mask a feeling of being insecure. they even try to show off being aggressive when they are timid.

Even some ladies build hugh muscular bodies, puzzles me. But guess it is their desire to beat the men. This is a complex problem. 😆

I have no problem with accepting the fact that some people are better than others in certain fields. But their social abilities and their ability to generate more income, etc can't make their lives superior to the lives of the less fortunate ones. One human life can't be worth more than another human life.

What you're saying is ideal scenario and if you think logically then human life is worth nothing. A human life is just that... a human life, you can't really determine it's worth. So, yes ideally every human life is same.
But since humans are more into money and market, they like to put a price tag on everything including their life. But when the worth of someone's life is determined it is not really the worth of the person per se that is determined but rather how much other people would benefit from him. It is not you who determine your own self worth but others who determine it based on their own selfish needs. For example when you take out a life insurance (talking about traditional insurance here), your worth will hardly matter to you personally as you'd be dead anyways. What is calculated instead is how much money your family/ or people close to you could have earned through you.
So, a guy earning millions may not become superior to the beggar at the street corner, but the family of the former would certainly notice the financial crunch if he dies whereas the family of the latter most probably hardly noticed his existence to begin with.
In such a scenario if the millionaire feels that he is worth more in terms of benefiting more people, then he is absolutely correct and it has nothing to do with superiority complex.

Humility is is a commendable character trait to a certain extent. At the same time humility can be highly overrated. Or rather I should say people expect way too much from others in the name of humility. I agree that there are people who do throw their weight around and have way too much self importance. My purpose is that at the very same time too many people are way to sensitive about such issues. As you stated jealousy, anger and other issues come into play. However, I think people experiencing envy should control it, not the other way around.

Sometimes people are simply unwilling to accept another person's sense of confidence and security. People find it hard to digest and accept that someone is better at them than something. In school when one child shines well ahead of the others - everyone labels that kid as a show off. In the workplace someone is able to accomplish significantly more than others - they are suck ups and overachievers.

People will stumble upon a roadblock somewhere in life and ponder for ages how to resolve it. Someone else comes by and says, hey thats easy, let me fix it for you - instead of being grateful people are show offs. The girlfriend laughs at another guy's jokes, the other guy is a show off. The husband compliments another woman's clothing, she is a skank.

When you really really look at the world in retrospect, its not a few who are bragging and showing. It is actually millions of insecure people labeling others as 'show offs' 'know it all' braggarts' just so that they can feel better about themselves. The mentality is - yeah the other person is ten times better at X than I am, but they are a show off - while I am humble - that makes me a better person.

Narcissistic and proud of it.
