I echo the same sentiments as many of you here

I like the way the story is shaping if I forget the fact that the story is about Salim and Mughals .I wish they had shown this as a love story between some ficitional characters , that would have made it easy for people to accept .

Shaheer is doing a great job as Salim and we don't any proofs of his acting abilities.I haven't t seen Sonarika's work before except few episodes of Mahadev ..I am liking her as Anarkali .Infact I feel as story progresses we will get to see some sizzling chemistry between Shaheer and Sonarika . I am really impressed with the way Sonarika conducted herself in show promotions ...very professional and well spoken .

It's going to take sometime for the forum to be active ...initially KRPKAB forum had very few people .. I think this Sunday we should see some ranking for the forum ...

Superb acting by Shaheer...,I feel I should forget I am watching a historical. Otherwise I won't get the right vibes for the show.

After seeing some interviews of Anirudh where he said the story is about how Anarkali the Kaneez will become the queen of Hindustan , I decided to treat this as ficitional story . Makers are very clear that the story will be no where close to the actual history .

Anarkali is today's tv heroine so they will definitely show her everywhere solving all the problems of the Mughal empire and being her future's MIL fav . I won't be surprised if they show her advising Salim on how to run the empire .

It's hard to relate to see Jodha treating Anarkali like a future bahu . Even in today's world people don't openly accept girls of Anarkali's background and we are talking about centuries back where they were treated like slaves ..sometimes this story gives me Devdas vibes ..Deva meeting his childhood sweetheart Paro ... lol

Seeing Jodha and Salim scenes today reminded me of the bond between Dev and Ishwari. 😃 😃 There was too many similarities. The saving grace of the series is the actors and their acting skills. Somehow the story is too melodramatic and a tad bit too much. It's like everyone it trying too much. Like Mahabat. He is good, but that comical presence or friendship is kind of forced. None of the characters feel real, even for a historical fiction story.

I also have a doubt. Why does Anarkali refer to Jodha as "rani saa". I mean that is a Gujarati/Rajasthani thing. Not sure why the makers are making Anarkali address Jodha this way. There is too many faux pas that make the serial not that appealing. Akbar is too much of a known history character.

Hopefully the makers do change some things in the story soon and make it more interesting.

I am not looking for any history on this show now, thankfully, so I am watching it just for Shaheer's performance and I love Sonarika's acting too. SO I am fully satisfied on these two counts. I also loved the rest of the main cast actually- Akbar, Jodha, ABul Fazl and Mahabbat, altho I agree, the comic relief bit from Mahabbat is a bit overdone.

Yes Nitu you are right. The scenes resemble more like Devdas Paro rather than Salim Anarkali. Going by the way the show proceeds you are again right..Anarkali will solve every problem like Ekta Kapur heroine

After a day I feel like reminiscing..how is the show as of now? I still found myself in dilemma. Should I say Oh it is wonderful because Shaheer is there? Or should I be honest to myself in commiting my inner most feelings?

With the other two shows of Shaheer we did not have something to compare to and they were ficitional so they had the liberty to show anything but in case of DEM there is a classic called Mughal e Azan which people compare to and it's not a ficitional character so there is certain expectations from the characterization. So in my opinion Navya and KRPKAB was a simple story so it's easy to present and DEM is a different genre .

MB was never a love story ..focus was on Pandavas and Kauravas .Without much effort audience connected to Arjun and Draupadi .Thats the reason I feel Shaheer chemistry with Pooja is the best of all .I started watching MB after KRPKAB and was totally disappointed with the pace of the story .I felt so many tracks were not shown and they just rushed to show the krukestra war ..what I am trying to say is that every show have some flaws .

With whatever projects Shaheer had in his kitty I believe this role was the best out of all and glad he chose this over other ones . It's a different role from what he has played and historical shows tend to do well .Imagine if Shaheer has picked KZK it would have been a disaster in my opnion .He might have gained popularity but there was high chances his character would be sidelined after other hero's entry but here he is the main lead and no third angle can change that . So Shaheer is smart in that sense

Now every show on Colors ,Star and Zee tv are OTT thanks to channel's interference .If the show has to survive on these channels it has to have high drama quotient .I just want Shaheer to be successful and gain same fame as he did during MB .Hope DEM can give him that

The story's pace has disappointed me but Shaheer's acting is a savior and I am also liking his pairing with Sonarika .
