Hey guys. I have just been wondering .how could DID and Zee Tv make such a huge mistake or is it me thats making a mistake..
The tagline- Are you born to dance
Isnt it meant to be Were you born to dance.. cause born is past tense right?
Please correct me if Im wrong😃

lemme try and help:

They mean to ask this in hindi: Kia aap dance karne ke liye peda hue hain? which will translate to "are you born to dance?"

If they said were you born to dance...it will be like they are referring to someone who may not be alive or is done with dancing and they are analysing the contestant. I dunno how to explain it right, but try and translate it in hindi...it will be: Kia ap dance ke liye peda hue thay?

It's not wrong if asked directly w.r.t. to looking at a person's inner self.

Are you born to dance is a reflection of AM I BORN TO DANCE, as opposed to was I born to dance.

So keeping that in mind, yes, it's grammatically correct to say, "Are you born to dance?"
