But I've got to comment on a few things I beg to differ from. By huge miles indeed!

1. Just like you can say the undeserving contestant won, we can say the DESERVING contestant won. You cannot put a 'period' there just to state it as an absolute fact. Because in your opinion she wasn't deserving, does NOT mean she wasn't. She's won by far the most performance of the day awards, she's won the performance of the season award, she's won Remo's heart not being in his team, got the MJ band, she's NEVER had a weak performance whilst ALL the other contestants have had one or numerous weak performances. So, please, don't go labeling a contestant as undeserving unless you CAN backup your opinion by some valid proof of why you say it. Moreover, do NOT please bring up the versatility point. The last few weeks have proven well and hard who's versatile and who's not, even in classical forms.

2. NO and Yes. I do not believe Dharmesh has been treated unfairly. What I do believe is that all the others have been treated unfairly in front of him. If unfair treatment had not been made, Amar would still be in the show, so would have Kruti remained till the finale. Dharmesh has been, by far, the ONLY contestant who's had the MOST stage time, most drama, and most time to "connect" to the audience. If they (creatives) or they (audience), either system you believe in, STILL think he does NOT deserve to win, they're only ever right!

One more thing. Salman's win was still unexpected last year. Mayuresh had topped him much better and by far more votes I presume, than Dharmesh has had over Shakti. In Janta ki Kasauti, Salman had had to nearly go once. How do you explain HIS win then? I think it's only fair to say that if it was rigged this season, it was last season 2. Also, either way, as much as I may try and prove otherwise since I don't like Salman one bit, but the fact remains that he was the winner.

The fact remains that Shakti IS the winner. Period! And I backed up ALL my arguments!

1. First of all, "Performance of the Day" awards are given to duets/trios. Not just one person. So it takes the whole team to dance well to win the award, along with some great choreography. Shakti had better chemistry with her teammates, and had the best choreographer on her side. Not only that, they were usually doing contemporary in those performances, and it's easier to do contemporary in trios/duos than it is Hip-Hop. So she had a huge advantage over Dharmesh when it came to winning performance of the week awards. They don't give those awards to solo performances.

But at the end, we were picking who was the best single dancer, not who did the best with their team (Shakti and her "Performance of the Week Awards").

Bottomline, I don't think that those awards are that relevant. Shakti was usually doing contemporary anyways while winning those awards, Dharmesh and his group usually did not do Hip-Hop in trios/duets.

2. Shakti never had a weak performance? 😆
After she was told to try something new, she had weeks of weak performance.
Since you said never, I'll give you one, her Hip-Hop with Jack. She was told that she needs to work harder, and Jack totally over shadowed her. She was told that she was not strong and things along those lines.

3. What are you talking about with Salman? Mayuresh was out and finished 7th or 8th. Dharmesh beat Shakti way more times than Salman beat Mayuresh.

And plus, I didn't even say it was rigged!

I agree with the conclusion of your post. But I think his hip-hop alone was so good that he deserved to win.

I wish Dharmesh had been in Terrence or Remo's group. Imagine all the amazing-ness we would have gotten to see.

Still, I congratulate Shakti. You danced well girl.

so wut if dharmesh was SO SO gud in Hip-Hop...Shakti was gud in all other forms... I like Dharmesh too but to b honest his dance made me disconnect with him... I liked shakti's dance n her performances...she was versatile and and if u remember or watch the videos she got very few negative critisim wen she did new forms of dance but wen dharmesh did something new he had flaws and mentors did point out...lets not blame anyone for winning...come on dharmesh was continously coming first but then shakti was also on top 3. two times she was no.1 and that was wen dharmesh fan didn't vote enough and they votes continously to make hime 1st...i guess too much confident on dhramesh sir's fan on him winning was bad on dharmesh. I was so scared that dharmesh was going to win so I voted and my sisters also did. we never ever voted but just to make difference we voted. just imagine those silent voting for shaki...
Dharmesh fan should've voted more but I guess some became lazy n expected other fans to vote...who knows...

@ssk13809: It was a very tough competition between the three as they were all very talented and equally deserving. We all have our favorites, but at the end of the day, only one contestant had to win. It was Shakti's lucky day. Even if it was Dharmesh or Punit who would have won, it would have been their lucky day. Anyway, I suggest you watch Terrence's india-forums interview after the win, especially the last bit.
P.S: This is a very humble request, please be considerate of other people. Words can sting at times and we should take care to not hurt others. Despite the luxury of anonymity in forums like these, one should be respectful while addressing others. Thank you.

However when it comes to the real winners I believe the process of the public voting is true here and fairly processed but after watching DID2 I feel that this show is throughly rigged and so predictable. Zee does what it wants so audience votes are only for the show purposeThe winner is finalized by zee not the audience. This is what I feel as being a NRI.Dharmesh was a far better contestant and by all means should have won. Those who keep on saying this is a wrong that he lost it's true. I feel the same. By all fairness I must also include that Australia and Usa are very very fair with the voting system. India has always has a superficial system and will always remain corrupt weither it's for dancing stars or for their polticians. CORRUPTION n bad politics is the right word for this type of wrong decisions. I just feel sorry for Dharmesh. You are always the winner and will be. I know most NRIs will agree with what I have felt and described. :) with no offence to anyone out there. Purely written from my observation and feelings. :)

okey i live in USA n i feel dharmesh was over-hyped...he is good but not the best...personally i feel that he did good in begining but ended up monotonous..i agree here it might more fair voting..but i can say that in previous weeks they showed dharmesh no 1 could b rigged/scripted.
i dont agree that all NRI would believe the same..its ur pov this my pov...
i feel shakti is truly deserving n more talented..

n at the end....shakti won!!!! 👍🏼 👏 🥳

I think Shakti's face and reaction should say enough on how big of a shock it was that she won. Not only that, her face and Gita/Dharmesh before the result was announced also tells us what was expected and what would be a shock

Thoughts on the final result:
1. For once, the right decision was made! Shakti truly deserved to win, especially between the top 4 contestants--she was THE most consistent in the entire season.
2. LOVED what Binny/Punit had to say! Wished Dharmesh got a chance to speak!
3. It was as chaotic as last season's
4. LOVED the happiness on Shakti's, Terence's, Kruti's, Amar's, Vandana's faces! of course her family was so happy and in tears also!
Lols Shakti was soooo overwhelmed!!!
As for Dharmesh, he will go far in life. So what if he didn't win? He has gotten so much recognition and love from people! He wants to be choreographer, and he's going to be one--DID LM!

1. Dharmesh Sir got robbed. Period. He DESERVED to win this. He was the best dancer ever to dance on DID. The way he did his style, no one comes close. He was way better than anyone this season.
He was the most popular, he was the best dancer, and he was getting the most votes. But he lost??? 😡

Very dissapointed

There are others who feel the same way about their favorite dancers....someone's opinion doesn't exactly make someone the most deserving.
