My DID Journey...From the beginning to the end!

What a year its been for DID season 2! I think the only reason I got connected with this season much more than last season was because of the fact that I had a friend (whom I knew personally) taking part in the show. I really think that makes a huge difference. I was an avid watcher of DID season 1. And I also had my absolute favorites like Jai, Mayuresh, & Vrushali! But I never really actively talked about the season or anything here on the forums. This season I did a lot of that. Haha. Its really been quite a journey! I've really enjoyed my time here on India Forums! Everyone (for the most part) is so amazing to communicate with! And it just makes watching the show a lot more fun knowing that after the show, you always have India Forums to resort to, to discuss all the fun and games of the show!

Again the main reason I really got connected to this season was the fact that Nikkitasha (a very close and good friend of mine) was shortlisted from the US for the auditions in India. When I found out, I was literally jumping with joy. She is one heck of a dancer. And her expressions are just mind blowing. Unfortunately I felt that she was under-utilized in the show, and that's why not many people really recognized the talent and potential in her. I always tried to raise awareness about her and show as much support as I could! I even tried posting some performances of hers outside of DID. Bottom line, I tried so much to gather as much fan following as I could for her. I wasn't as successful as I wish I could have been on the forums. But on facebook it was a whole different story! 😆 Oh the wonders of facebook! Haha. Her fan base is overwhelming now! She's had so much fame before DID in the Washington DC area. If you ask any Indian in the area about Nikkitasha Marwaha (before DID fame) almost 90% would say that they know her from her performances at such and such event. She would be almost everywhere. Tashu was the reason that I followed this show a lot lot lot more than before! Of course I'm been an avid DID fan from season 1, but as far as being connected to the show is concerned it would have to be more this season! For me Tashu is a winner. And I know that she will do wonders in her life! I can't wait to meet up with her and get all the inside scoop of what went on in DID!

Dancers like Kruti, Vandana, Parvez, Jack, & Amar have truly left a solid mark on the DID stage. These people showed so much talent in them & were very supportive of other contestants! Their eliminations were the most saddest eliminations, knowing that these same people deserved their spot on the stage! But then again, this was a competition and one had to go each week! Some sooner than others! Being a part of the top 18 dancers of India is such a huge accomplishment in itself. So I wouldn't worry about it. Because they have all created a name for themselves. And now these people get like 500+ daily facebook friend requests! 😆 Crazy fans? Crazy world, right? Hahaha! So these people have no worries in life. And this is only the beginning of their long journey of success! So I really want to wish them all the best.

Then we have contestants like Sajaan, Shashank, Amrita, & Kishore who some of us thought didn't deserve to stay in the competition as long as they did end up staying! But all these dancers were fabulous! And when Amrita's elimination came, we all were upset as it came at the wrong time! Had she been eliminated earlier the views would have been different. But for her to have been eliminated when she was actually really improving was such a shame!

Then we have contestants who didn't get their full share on the show & had very early eliminations. Teena, Shruti, Altaf, Ameeth, Bhawna, Meenu, & Naresh all fabulous dancers! Unfortunately they just weren't up to the mark at the time, but still all are winners in all respects! And they have every reason to be proud of all their accomplishments!

Finally we come down to our final four contestants! Punit, Shakti, Dharmesh, & Binny. All deserving in the "janta's" eyes. Not all deserving in my eyes! 😆 But hey results can't change now! I'm happy for the four finalists! They have worked hard to be where they are now. Each one is a winner and the final results really have no affect! Just want to say good luck to all of them! They have already created a tremendous fan following! That's just really all they need!

Masters were all three amazing as always. Yeah Geeta Ma'am did annoy me the most this season. But at the end of the day I really deeply have true respect for all the masters! They all really worked hard to utilize and show the best from their contestants! Yes they may have fallen short sometimes, but it happens! Its ok! I love all three and wish them all the best!

Jay! What an entertaining host! My favorite! I love you Jai! 😳 He can pretty much make anyone's day happy again! And Souyma is a sweetheart! Its been such an honor seeing such great hosts!

Mithun Da. I'm quite upset he didn't use the veto power/recall. What a lame reason not to use it! No further comments! I'm upset!

I'm really going to miss this season. I really don't know how active I will be in DID Lil Masters. Will try to watch it for Jai, Mayuresh, & Vrushali. But don't know how much actively I will be able to participate here. Its really been a honor interacting with you all. Deeply and sincerely want to make a shout out to everyone here that I have interacted with! I love you all for everything! 🤗 Sorry for an EXTREMELY long post! 😆 Its my essay! 😆😳

Sweet post, Rani😊 I loved Tashu from the videos you posted. But very few performances of hers touched me on DID..Although, the dances she did on the day of her elimination were fabulous..and her auditions were superb. I think that Remo did not give her challenging choreographies that would make her stand out as a dancer in public view. But still I loved her and wished she were a finalist.

This season was good, but I cant wait for it to end. I think the hangover from DID 1 still remains

Thanks! I followed Season 1 regularly but just never really participated in forum discussions like i did this time!

I liked Nikkitasha a lot. Apart from dance, as a well mannered american tought with indian values. The day she exited, I remember, she touched everybody's feet. well, we don't always do that here in USA. she had the most graceful exit.
