Saw in article that Geeta ma gave challenges to contestants and if u look closely, its unfair totally....
She gave Kathak and Bharatnatyam to Shakti and Punit respectively but look at her own contestants, dance on marathi song (how come this is challenge....D sir already danced on marathi song with Binny before) and Bhavaatam for Binny, not sure whats this but why not Kuchipudi for Binny....what do u think, share ur thoughts

i think D sir is doing Gondhali dance which is marathi folk but still not a challenge like how Geeta ma gave to Shakti and Punit, not sure why she is playing safe even though he is highest voted contestant always,..

Babli.. I said the same on the other thread !!
EXACTLY !!! .. I knew that she'd play with her "feedback" on the dancers as usual, but.. my foot !
Kathak is something that I wanted Shakti to do from the start.. and Bharatnatyam is also fine.. but, these are two tough styles ever in Indian classicals ! 😳
Dharmesh already did a Marathi thing.. and I wonder if it's another freestyle-kinda dance(it doesn't make any diff. in her choero though).. with some power moves!!! 😕
This IS sooo UNFAIR ! Last week's street Jazz and Pantomime were easy compared to other contemporary styles of dance ! Terence himself said that Street Jazz was a style wherein not much of an attention is given to technicality. And even in Remo's week, D got a lyrical hip-hop that is not much of a deal from what he usually does !! 👎🏼
He's just getting through waay easily compared to the others.. this is the LIMIT!! 🤢
Anyways.. even if it's just another simple routine, lets see how much of technicality and emotions he show-cases.. 😉 😈
It's all over now.. I think the performances speak for themselves and we all do know who's shining.. -- Shakti.(also Kruti, Parvez, Amirta and now Amar are still remembered) ...

Her tactics are the limit! 🤢
I'm 100% with you that Puneet and Shakti were given tougher styles comparitively..

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. THAT IS WHY THEIR FANS ARE VOTING MORE FOR THEM TO WIN.
SHAKTI , AMAR'S FANS ARE ONLY WRITING HERE AND NOT VOTING.
WHATEVER THEY MAY DO , THESE FANS WHO JUST WANTS D TO WIN WILL MAKE THEM WIN. AND SO GEETA MA IS DOING THAT, KNOWING ALL THESE.

1.If Contemporary can be Freestyle then why not Folk is Classical????

2.Why people are so surprised by these challenges?
I thought that people already knew Geeta Kapur?

Well I hate to sound snide (but I feel safe on a forum with 90% Shakti lovers) but I think those might be challenges for her contestants! 😛

Punit for BN, Shakti got Kathak, Binny got Mohiniyattam, D got Gondhal, and Amar got Kavadiyattam... Even though Kavadiyattam is a folk dance from Tamilnadu and Kerala, it's more of a religious one and the devotee needs to keep a fast for the whole day, and then go into a trance while dancing with the Kavadi - on head or shoulders... Gondhal appears to be very easy compared to the other four... I hope Binny does a good job with Mohiniyattam... I always wanted to see one on DID... And hopefully Punit will be like Kamal Hasan or Vineeth in BN... 😃 Shakti did a fab job, and was very good in her Kathak!! I can imagine some mouths being dropped seeing the unexpected!! LOL...
