Is ridiculing Jay really necessary?

Yes, I know he is Mithun's "star" but that doesnt mean he has to be ridiculed nearly every step of the way. Be it with ridiculous dance performances, or jokes made of him.

I know they are trying to make the show "funny" and what not but it's not a comedy show, it's dance. Even if they do want to make it funny, there are ways to do so without making the host look bad.
Take for example Karan Singh Grover on Zara Nachke Dikha. There are others but none that come to mind right now.

Do you guys feel the way Jay is treated on the show is right?

Well I agree its all in good fun, but even though he takes it with a smile, some of the stuff may be hurtful.

I remember when he wanted to tell a joke and Salman was like "No point, you look like a joke" or something similar. Many jokes like this have been pulled on Jay.

I feel its unfair to him, and more than the Mithun/Jay stuff the show should be focused on dance.

I remember last season when I loved it, but sometimes they go overboard. They have to remember that he has feelings to, and just because he smiles doesn't mean their words arent hurtful.
Sometimes when Im watching the show I feel bad for him, with the jokes cracked at him.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. Its ridiculous what they do to Jay, because most of the supposed "jokes", if you like to call them that, makes me want to puke šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼
Indians are so pathetic when it comes to comedy. The best we could come up with was "Hum Paanch". I've never seen any other good comedy on Indian TV screens. Zee badly needs some talented script writers. The current ones are actually a shame to human intelligence. They think we audience are stupid enough to laugh at their dumb-fold comedy at the expense of the show's host. šŸ˜’

I used to find it cute before but I have to agree with the topic opener that sometimes they do stretch it too far in the name of cheesy TRP...
