Hey all,
Today even Terrence Sir copied a choreogrphy...the dance Yeh Raat is copied fron a tango from the movie The Lead (click the URL below)
It's really annoying that they copy the dance and represent it as thier own choreography😡

i dont agree,

The concept of 2 guys and 1 girl is the same, there are a few steps that are similar but its by no means a copy. the concept even has been done in various places (not just take the lead).

Maybe the dance forms have similar step like wat i mean to say is if the dance form is Bachata , then u have to perform those specific steps only , u cant perform Hip hop and say its bachata. So maybe u found the steps similar !! 😃

After watching I can say it is not copied. This is one dance form and Terrence used that dance as base and then added his version. Same as one does kathak, that is type of dance, if anybody doing that dance does not mean he/she copying other. But over all I liked this one more than Shakti's version. More credit went to Shakti but I think Vandana was better.

i agree ... it is totally the same ... the concept is the same ... the dancing is the same .. maybe not step to step but the choreographers have definately watched this dance more than once ....

i feel let down .. because i love terrence ki toli and terrence ... i mean he is such a good chorepgrapher why would he want to use another choreographers moves ... i hope terrence comes up with something original next week ...

I disagree. It doesn't quite look the same to me. Maybe the concept of a trio tango is copied, but I'm sure this concept is very common in the dance form of tango. And Terrence's choreography wasn't completely Tango was it? I think it was a mix of different styles including contemporary. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Plus this dance didn't have any of the lifts that Terrence included. I think it's just the basic tango steps perhaps that seem copied, otherwise there were alot of differences between the two dances.
Anyways, I'm sure this trio tango style shown in this movie is very common.
I think there's a difference between getting inspired/ incorporating a style of dance and copying.

I didnt find any copying. please do let me know which part of the movie dance has been copied.
Tango trio seems to be common.
I think the performance is copied when the concept of the performance is the same and few innovative steps are also same. didnt seem in Terence's choreography. Please correct me, if I am wrong

Disagree , the concept of 1 girl 2 boy is the only similarity , sorry the dance form too
But not the step ... if you find similarity because of the dance form ... so sorry but every coregraphy is a copy...
We can be inspired of something and do something better with it , and that what Terrence did ... i don't see any copy... we should not say that dance step is a copy , i mean they are not there to show a New dance step everyday .. it is impossible ... they have to proove themselve with the "bases" that their seniors left for them ... so it is a bit normal to use the step ... its like hiphop , breakdance ... <we use same thing ... the dancer just need to prove he can do it , and shows it in a way that feels new for us , and we say "He iss thee best" don't kno if you get what i say lol ...

But i personnaly thing that it was a good coregraphy that prooves that the dancers have a lot of potencial

^^ hope i am not rude =S or something... just a litle probleme to express lol ... i speak french so...

I dont get it, did I watch the wrong video or what?! I clicked on the provided link and I didnt see any similarity with Terence's number with the Tango Trio on YouTube. The concept is entirely different, the flow of steps and the way they were carried out were totally different, and there is not even a single similarity I could find between the two numbers. When one is copied, you can see the copying made from the concept to the entry on stage to costumes to each step by step flow. I didnt see that happen here, sorry.
If this is considered a copy, then we have to say all the Michael Jackson performances by people all over the world, as well as all the dance forms are copied, as similar steps would be used. Even in Indian classical, the same mudras are used over and over again, but each dance master will add his or her touch to it. The trio performance is not new either, so even that cannot be considered as copied - it came from the saying that "it takes two to Tango" and then changed to three in the past few years. Also there are infact five people in this video - started with two pairs, and then one more guy joined in later with the leading pair.

I think you didnt watch it carefully! Neither the concept nor the beginning to end nor the steps are the same!! I hope you know about dance when you are saying it is the same!! Terence's concept is kind of horror based, whereas this video has two pairs competing first, and then a guy watching them make an entry to dance with the leading pair!! How is the concept being the same here?? Could you please explain?? Even all the lifts and moves done by Terence are not in this video, and I didnt see any similarity. If this is a copy, then all the dances on DID are copies, including all of 15th Friday's performances - end of story!
