Yes indeed my friend! Infact it had raised the brow of suspicion and i'd like 2 further elaborate on what you stated for everyone. Your words hold true, my psychiatrist collegues at the hospital staff here evaluated him from while the show saregama was going on to now again seeing and evalutating his interview, it was confirmed. In a discussion at lunch break topic of molestation, rape and such issues were spoken of as we've come fact to face with such realities at the hospital. Despite me being here in the US, similar circumstances exist throughout the world where many cases do not come forth into light and nor are reported out of shame...
It's indeed considered shameful in our culture, hence people choose not to acknowledge it / cover it as look at the VICTIM Poonam's mother or friend who said she took wrong medicine accidentally when really she overdosed on sleeping pills as by the doctors evaluation and furthermore look at "our typical desi people" now saying "ohh it couldn't happen, daughter, mentor blah blah blah...How downright inhumane to hide/cover/speak out of ignorance on such a happening instead of TRUTHFULLY BEING ABLE TO VOICE IT OUT AND GET JUSTICE FOR IT...This's so very typical in the aspects of our hypocritical Indian society, but let us not hold a blind eye to it, for it does infact go on sadly enough. I sympathize with Poonam and such people as one human to another. Yes, a victim's fear, lack of courage, and something lacking from there side does play a role for sure, but THE SHEER FACT REMAINS THAT THEY ARE THE VICTIM AND NOT CULPRIT HERE---the case/situation needs to be looked into where why it took place. Furthermore, if our "typical" desis could wake up and smell the roses & not be so oblivious/ignorant to such realities of what's actually going on--many of these sad tragedies could be stood up for, fought against, and not tolerated! Because when the storm hits home and such a matter takes place with an own blood relative--it's not such a pleasant situation. So, for heaven's sake people take some time to read up on statistics, studies, and knowledge to understand first before jumping the gun to giving your 2 cents baseless opinions! Yes, media loves to take advantage and spread false news as well---but you should be smart enough to evaluate or encouraged to gain knowledge on what Actually happened, especially if you're so keen on passing a judgement. Just because it's in the "media" doesn't mean it's necessariy True nor False!!---it should not hinder one's judgement and one should not be so shallow to fall prey to it...
It's fine not to carry awareness/knowledge on all things, but an effort should be absolutely made for pete's sake to empower onself on the positives and negatives going on in society, the world---knowledge is the power and hence key to bring about change...
As for the view, "it takes 2 to tango"...yes i see where she's held accountable to a degree for she's an adult and not a minor---however, psychologically speaking when abuse and domination take place in a situation where one's in need or helpless, the case is quite different dear! It's not a normal situation we're dealing with as you and i see it, those circumstances vary and nor are the individuals in a "normal" state of being. In such cases there's one with authority/power to carry it out and a weaker individual in a state of being emotionally, mentally and physically used. What stops the person of authority to wrongly use their power is the base of their morals---and they indeed need to be strong ones for such righteous acts to take place. Ismail Darbar diagnosed and evaluted upon his history, way of being, actions and choice of words studied as by his latest interview response, all pointed out to this 96% possibility being true.
Again, such actions are wrong but I'm no one to still judge him as a good or bad person, as many who carry out sexual abuse usually carry some form of mental disorder themself. The man needs help is what I will say. I just sympathize in this case with the Victim Poonam here who I say is in need of therapy as opposed to just being released from the hospital...and infact Mr. Ismail Most Definately needs therapy, so he does not do carry such actions out in the future, which habitual offenders tend to repeat patterns w/o proper treatment. It's advisable that such offenders can even seek help and therapy without the public eye on them, I highly suggest it for Mr. Ismail. However, people saying in ignorance that such shameful thing cannot happen and it's just the media is only false encouragement to such offenders gifted with an opportunity to easily cover their tracks and continue on this vicious cycle future wise...
So, like I stated on the first page of this article posted, Karma is a beautiful thing...
"Rock-On"...I hope both of our views will somewhat enlighten or get people to start thinking if they want to judge this situation or any other in the future...not all carry the capacity of understanding to comprehend the psychological base to such sad realities---if it was the case, many of these tragedies would be prevented in the first place! lol Anyhow, you nailed it in your statement, i was glad to see your sharp observation in the reading of Mr. Ismail. Let's hope others can atleast attempt a thinking process, hope is all we can do...
😊wishes n peace..
