Dipsshikha is happy being single - Article

With so many reality shows on TV, Dipsshikha Nagpal is wondering why she hasn't got an offer for one yet.


"May be people think I don't want to do a reality show. I'm surprised I haven't got an offer as yet. Doing a reality show should be fun. I could dance or sing... basically just be myself," she says.

Dipsshikha is tired of playing other characters on TV. Her character Maya Mehta in Dahejj may be popular, but the actress isn't all that excited anymore. "I can't do the same thing day in and day out. I like to do different things. I want excitement in my life. All serials look the same. In reality shows atleast there's something different to do. Besides they come to an end after a few weeks. They don't drag."

So is she planning to opt out of Dahejj sometime in the future? "Maybe! It's a commitment that I'm fulfiling. Given a choice I would not like to continue," she says.

Movies too are on. But recently Dipsshikha did get a shock when she realised her portion from the film Haal-e-Dil was totally deleted. "I was disappointed. But I didn't make an issue of it. What's the point in making an issue? I just let it be and chose to move on."

On the personal front, Dipsshikha says she's not disillusioned with love post her separation from Jeet Upendra. "I believe in love, but does it really exist? Everyone wants a relationship of convenience and I'm not interested in that," she says adding, "But I do believe there is somebody for each one of us on this planet. Whenever it's destined that somebody will be in front of me. I am an emotional person and very romantic too. If a guy truly loves me, my world will be at his feet."

And what about marriage again? "I feel I will get married again sometime in the future. But I have to be in love with the man, I have to respect him and he should have the guts to accept me the way I am with my two kids. Otherwise I am happy to be single," she says.
