The quest of finding the best for the reserved brides , errm ehem , meaning the "Bridesmaids".!

Bride: I've decided a theme. 😳

The girls let out a happy sighed as the Bride smiled a

good few hours of discussion on the wedding theme.

But like always, the Bride wanted something different.

Deepa: Is it 2050 already? 😲

Bride: 🥱 Not funny...its my wedding,

I want it to be remembered in history.

*Everyone nods , giggles in head*

Koeli (while filing her nails very delicately): Are we going with my suggestion of having a beach wedding?

Bride : No, I don't want a beach wedding. I want something very different and I think I've finally reached a conclusion.* with an excited smile* Why don't we have a Western Traditional theme?? 😃

Zoah (confusedly): What do you mean?

Bride: I've researched everything on the Western traditional outfits and you, as in all the Bridesmaids, are going to be representing

each part of West! 👏

Deepa(shaking her hear vigorously): You've got to be kidding me! I'm not going to wear Maps!!! 😡

Bride: I am not, and yes, you are going to be wearing whatever I decide. It's my wedding for God's sake!

Debo (ever so calmly): Okay. Let's all calm down. Why don't we have a look at the outfits before reaching a conclusion? 😊

Bride: Right. Have a look here then!

*She pulls out a thick book from her tote.*

Deepa: No one said about an encyclopedia...? 😕

Bride: This is a state of art bridesmaid/best man clothing collection brochure! 😃😛

Koeli: No, its a colorful history book for sure , you've been conned bridezilla...

Bride: Here I'm making things easier for you all and this is what I get!!!!?

This has all those places where you all belong to ,

so there's no problem in recognizing them. This has all info we'll ever need ,

so just look into it , nod your heads and we are done! ⭐️

The Bride drummed her fingers on the book cover : See this beauties...

*Inside the Book*

Glimpse of the Past

Western wear is a category of men's and women's clothing which derives its unique style from the clothes worn in the 19th-century American West to the late 14th century when carolines and feather hats were worn even to sleep.

It ranges from accurate historical reproductions of pioneer, mountain man, Civil War, cowboy and vaquero clothing to the stylized garments popularized by singing cowboys such as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers in the 1940s and '50s.The traditional west had always had a head wear in all regions for both men and women and this has evolved hence into many a making.

Western wear can be very informal, owning to its revolution in the 21st century , with a t-shirt and blue jeans forming a basic ensemble, or it may consist of tailored formal garments with western accents.

At minimum, western wear generally incorporates a hats, leather belts, and boots.

Koeli (throwing her hand in the air) : I told you its a history book!

Bride: Lets check the chapters girls and the dresses mind you all!!!. Can we have a look before you talk?

*She turns to the first page.*

The Bride: So here's French, Deepa your lucky day!

FRENCH

Women:
Haute Couture
Frenchwomen wear dresses
with tiered skirts.
Some have elaborate bodices,
but all have aprons,
which are usually embroidered
or decorated with lace,
the extravagance of the decoration
reflecting the wealth of the family.
The traditional lace headwear
worn by women
is called a coiffe and again varies
in size and complexity, from small
pieces of lace worn over a bun,
to elaborate, towering creations
with flowing ribbons.

Men:
Haute Couture
Frenchmen wears knee breeches
along with the boots or gaiters.
Double-breasted, wraparound vests,
reaching from neck to waist,
were very common and usually
worn under a short jacket and
sometimes with a colourful sash
around the waist.
Red, blue and white were the most
frequently used colours.

Nabila:
Wow!!! lots of lace and color! 😳

Deepa: Do you know the history behind this gorgeous traditional outfit?

*All shook their heads negatively.*

Deepa: Well, mum used to say, in the 1960s, the elitist "Haute couture" came under criticism from France's youth culture. In 1966, the designer Yves Saint Laurent broke with established Haute Couture norms by launching a ready to wear line and expanding French fashion into mass manufacturing. With a greater focus on marketing and manufacturing, new trends were established by Sonia Rykiel, Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix in the 1970s and 1980s. The 1990s saw a conglomeration of many French couture houses under luxury giants and multinationals such as LVMH. 😊

Debo: But why this dress? What is so special about this one?

Bride: Because it's beautiful. The dress is so elegant and anyone can carry it of with grace without much hassle. The headwear gives a different dimension to the look. 😛

Deepa: And the men's wear is so Warrior like! It exaggerates their power and the hat is so regal.

Koeli: Isn't Paris the World Capital of Fashion?

Nabila: For sure it is but you know I think beach wedding could be traditional too. I liked Koeli's idea , swimming trunks are traditional for beeches...tight swimming trunks! *fans herself* 😉

Zoah: And no trunks is like the God father of all traditions!!! 😃

Bride: I'm not entertaining you all , so cut out the cute factor , flip the page.

Nabila: Oooh! Spanish , Koeli time to do flamenco!😃

SPANISH
Women:
Trajes de faraleas
The Trajes de faraleas is brightly
colored with many layers of ruffles
in the skirt and sleeves that swish
around as they walk.
Men:
Traje corto
The traje corto is short jacket worn
with high waisted pants, white shirt,
colored waistband and the
notable wide brimmed hat known
as the sombrero de alanche.

Zoah: Interesting! Why is the dress designed this way, Koeli?

Koeli: The outfit originated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries when women vendors dressed in modest cacilo gowns adorned with ruffles came to the fairs along with livestock traders. In time, women of the propertied classes copied these outfits worn originally be rural workers. Ever since the Seville Fair of 1929, the traje de flamenca has had a status as the official outfit of the event.

Debo: That's quite a history, eh? 😛

Koeli: It's seductive yet elegant. Femininity oozing out of it.The ruffles are gorgeous and I think, we'd look gorgeous in them. What do you think, girls?😳

Deepa: I think you should look at all of the outfits before we decide.😊

Bride:Here is the next one.

*She turns the page.*

Zoah: Ooh this is my favourite. Germany!

GERMAN

Women:
Dirndl
which is a close fitting bodice
combined with an apron for women.
The traditional clothing is made
from wool and linen.
The dirndl originated as a more
hardy form of the costume
worn today; the uniform of Austrian
servants in the 19th century.
The Austrian upper classes
adopted the dirndl as
high fashion in the 1870s.
Today, dirndls vary from
simple styles to exquisitely crafted,
very expensive models.
Men:
Lederhosen
knee-length trousers for men,
Lederhosen were simply the working
trouser for the male peasantry and
underwent nearly the same
development as Blue Jeans in the
USA.
The traditional clothing is made
from wool and linen.
Shoes in traditional clothing are
rustic and paired with wool socks.
The more elegant the traditional attire
appeared, the more higher up in the
social status the person was.
During the winter months,
wool jackets, gloves, scarves,
and hats were worn.

Zoah: I love this. It's so simple and stunning. I think this one is different from the others because it is simpler but it has such an amazing detailing on the dress. Even the male outfit is .. well.. quite hot to be honest..❤️

Deepa: For once, I agree with Zoah. The outfit has such a lovely feel to it and it'll be so comfortable to wear for such a long day that is your wedding going to be.😃

Koeli: Girls, let's not get carried away. We have few more to see, okay?🤔

Bride: Now this one is Nabz's favorite! Greece!!

GREEK
Women:
Karagouna
A thick frock made of cotton and
deemed up with embroidered
woolen jacket ,
a full length generally ,
Karagouna is special in its taste.
Don a head kerchief and chains
of gold coins across her forehead
and bosom to signify wealth , the
dress is nothing short of traditional
glory.
Men:
Foustanella
A wide-sleeved white shirt and topped
off with an embroidered woolen vest.
Long, white socks, a sash and pointed
shoes called tsarouhia --
topped with their recognizable large
pompons.
While the female wear,
a long tunic with black fringe, covered
by an embroidered white overcoat
and a matching red velvet vest.

Koeli: The outfit looks so pretty! The chain on the forehead is the best part of the dress. It looks traditional and stands out in the crowd.

Nabila: Thats why its the best i say! It has the royal touch and the earthen feel. You just see and feel beautiful!!!

Did you know that Ancient Greeks wore simple garments that draped over their bodies. The chiton and peplos were both simple outfits made from one-piece rectangles of fabric, with holes cut out for the head. The peplos was sleeveless, while the chiton covered part of the arms.

Deepa: Ah ha, interesting facts.

So this is how Karugona and foustanella were originated?

Nabila: Yes, that's how it all started. And its makes the male dress so God like.. there's no discrimination as if. 😃 It's flowy but fitter, tender but solid. It's soft and makes you feel loved. Making the men look so docile. 😳 This one is the best, I'm saying it!!!

Zoah: Can we move to the next outfit, please?

Before the God's come from Atlantic!!! 🤣

Debo: Yes, the next one is America.

This is my favorite because I love the cowboy hats!

AMERICAN/AUSSIE

Women:
CowGirl
Women wear button-up knitted
garments with simple necklines,
fixed blouses, and also maximum
knee-length skirts along with
cowboy hats and boots.
This gorgeous ensemble is generally
leather made and is a revived version
of what the Red Indians had once
invested in to the clothing range
of the Americans and Australians.

As the general population of both
the continents is migrate to each
other, the clothes don't differ
in any way.
Men:
CowBoy
The men wear a shirt with blue jeans,
along with a cowboy jacket, a hat called
Stetson and neck scarf.
The cowboy boots are perfect to
complete the look.

The manifestation of the
ancient Red Indians ,
The Cowboy way of dressing
is one which attracts a lot of attention ,
as it has a personality of its own.
Its a way of dressing that is
made by ones choice and not necessity
and this gives it a name of
"dressing for pleasure."
Men fashion is highly
restricted but with this ensemble ,
men find a niche above
the women fashion that rules the World.

Deepa: Ah ha, I like it. Macho, ish? 😳

Bride: I've read it in an article that the Western dress shirt is often elaborately decorated with piping, embroidered roses and a contrasting yoke. In the 1950s these were frequently worn by movie cowboys. And also, In the early days of the Old West it was the bowler hat rather than the slouch hat center crease , or sombrero that was the most popular among cowboys as it was less likely to blow out off in the wind.By the 1870s, however, the Stetson had become the most popular cowboy due to its use by the Union Cavalry as an alternative to the regulation blue kepi. 😛

Koeli: Wow! That's detail information. I didn't know all that. But I still don't understand. Why would you want to wear cowboy hat and boots in a wedding?

Debo: Because, it's different. It's a not typical bridesmaids dress. It's stylish and very comfortable. It's the dare devil outfit. The men all ready to take guns and matters in their hand, such vigorous energy the dresses have!!

Bride: The cowboy hat gives a really nice touch to the overall outfit, so yes. This outfit is very different and pretty from the rest of them. And can't miss the boots!! The tassels on the skirts, it's all so country like and West!

Zoah: All said and done what about you darling? what are you going to wear on your wedding? I am sure you are not thinking of wooing your best half with cowboy hat. *giggles* I hope you chose something white. And what about your husband? Are you giving him something matching? Well, Tuxedo is something which every man should wear on their wedding, they look so freaking sexy.

Bride:
No , you single women🤣!!!! More important than that!!
Shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!⭐️
Check this out , all million billion legs and shoes!!!!I'm so good!😃😎

WOMEN

Heels
The Europeans , especially the Greeks were the founders of heeled shoes , for men who went hunting and for women to add grace in their gait.
Owning to them today High heeled footwear is a footwear that raises the heels, typically 2 inches (5 cm) or more above the toes, commonly worn by women for formal occasions or social outings. Variants include kitten heels and stiletto heels and wedge heels.
The craze for high heels is now as such that markets of the west and around the world are point blank targeting its customers.
A new age study and profession has been created by this maniacal need for the highest and the steepest.

Belles
The belles are one of the first shoe design that came into existence.
Made from cloth in old times , they served the purpose of dainty feet and clean soles.
The west influenced it to be made in to leather and other synthetic materials resulting a wide variety of new age Belles.
They are the most loved foot wear for work and leisure.
Ballerina's have also promoted belles to a level of need and must wanted.
They are now designed to please and pleasure and with the demand today,
they may be seen as more comfortable than shoes with a higher heel.

WOMEN/MEN

Boots
The shoes of the Warriors , Boots have been in the cultural of West since forever.
To the early 5th century and late 14th century , boots have been in the battle fields , invented by the Scottish , to warred of grass insects and unwanted swords.

Thus boots were an essential foot wear in history and with progress and need boots have made their way into a must have Winter gear and a fashion statement , since the Italians have started manufacturing the best leather made boots.
As the world of today runs on Fashion Streets , the Boots have also dived into being , made up , glittered and polished into a luxury.

MEN

Handmade
Popularly known as handmade shoes , these are the best a human can produced something from leather.
The Formal men s hoes , a divine intervention of the Western World came into force by the French during the Industrial Revolution and have stayed put.

Plain-toes which have a sleek appearance and no extra decorations on the vamp to
Cap-toes , having an extra layer of leather that "caps" the toe and the Broques (American: wing-tips) whose toe is covered with a perforated panel, the wing-tip, which extends down either side of the shoe , are certain types and designs maneuvered in all materials.

Loafers , a semi formal sibling of these gentleman shoes is also a gift to the fashion World by the Italians and Spanish , who delved into cloth shoes for men and invented the trend.

Deepa: Oh! Wow! thats quite a lot for legs! But I'll take the heels!!😃
Koeli: We all take the heels!!! Though they might not go with certain dresses that the Bride has chosen.

Nabila: Heels go on feet and dresses go on body , so there's no connection. I'm wearing heels even if we went back to the beach theme.
😵

Debo: Though Belles are so cute!!!!!!!
Zoah: I'm cute enough , so no cute footwear for me.!😃

Bride: Ok stop!!!!!!! Wear whatever you all want but the men have no choice!
Koeli: Well with those uber sexy formal handmades who will want a choice.
They are the best kind of thing one can wear on foot.!☺️

Zoah: But what is the Bride wearing??!!
Nabila: Off with all this now , whats the dress , spill it out.

Bride: You people dont have to glare! 😲
Its just that I'm so excited 😃😆 so I just wanted you all to be cleared and packed , because I need the crescendo moment! 😉
☺️

So here it is
☺️:

THE BRIDE

Gowns

A white wedding is a traditional formal or semi-formal dress originating in Britain. It became famous in the color white , which first became popular with Victorian era elites, after Queen Victoria wore a white lace dress at her wedding , however, the term now also encapsulates the entire Western wedding routine, especially in the Christian religious tradition. The tradition of a white wedding is commonly credited to Queen Victoria's choice to wear a " white wedding dress " at her wedding to Prince Albert in 1840.

Etiquette books then began to turn the practice into a tradition and the white gown soon became a popular symbol of status that also carried "a connotation of innocence and sexual purity." The story put out about the wedding veil was that decorous brides were naturally too timid to show their faces in public until they were married.

This attire is beautiful because it symbolizes a beauty of the woman on her big day. The color white is represents the peace and love a marriage brings to the couple. The veil emphasizes on a woman being modest and well-behaved. The attire brings out the inner beauty of a woman and makes the outfit look prettier.

Deepa:Oh My God! That's a dream! 😳
Debo: It's a dress , which is surely so dreamy!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! ⭐️

Koeli: One cant go wrong with white and lace.
This is what any girl would give to wear at least once in her life .

Nabila: Even if she is against marrying , give her this and there! You have a Bride.!

Zoah: Think of what calamities our Bride will bring when she'll walk in. 😊
Nabila: Thud thud thud and dead will be the expressions. 😳
Debo: Moist eyes and suppressed sighs.
Koeli: How could someone look so beautiful! 😳

Bride: OK stop it guys , I'm embarrassed. Its really pretty isnt it?
☺️

Deepa: It is.
All: The Best. 😃

Zoah: The dress will sure go down in the history
of all our weddings because it'll be worn by you. 😉

Koeli: And wheres the Groom!!?

Bride: Here he is...perfect for my perfect man!! ☺️

THE GROOM

Suits/Tuxedo

A tuxedo is a formal evening suit distinguished primarily by satin or grosgrain facings on the jacket's lapels and buttons and a similar stripe along the out-seam of the trousers. The suit is typically black (though may be midnight blue) and commonly worn with a formal shirt, shoes and other accessories, most traditionally in the form prescribed by the black tie dress code.

The groom is expected to wear a tuxedo, with a formal shirt and a bow tie. The accessories may include cufflinks, button covers, a scarf etc.

In the 1860s, the increasing popularity of outdoor activities among the British middle and upper classes led to a corresponding increase in the popularity of the casual lounge suit as a country alternative to the more formal day wear that was traditionally worn in town. Men also sought a similar alternative to the extremely formal tailcoat worn every evening. The solution for some country squires was to adapt the casual velvet smoking jacket by making it from the evening tailcoat's fabric and finishes, thus making it acceptable for "informal" meals at home.

The Bride blushed furiously : He'll look so.. .
All: Yay!

Bride: Excuse me! 😲😡
Debo: We mean , men and Tux are a thing a woman should experience once.
Nabila: That why I attend all the weddings!
Zoah: Even the ones we are not invited.!! 😆

Koeli: But Tuxedos are the most finest piece of men dressing.
It excutes class and an air of domination.
Deepa: The Alpha-ness oozes out of them.
It makes a man a Man. 😉
