Written Update & Video Vampire Diaries Season2ep13
Caroline leaves her house in the morning to find Tyler lurking for her. He wants to talk. She thinks it's about the kiss. She tells him they can't go there, he says fine.
He asks what happened to Mason. He says that Stefan and Damon killed him because they're vampires. She admits she knew Mason was dead.
He slams her against her car, saying he trusted her. He leaves.
Damon listens to a news report making sense of Rose's rampage, blaming it on someone on drugs. They mention the girl he attacked the night before.
Mayor Lockwood announces a vigil for the deaths.
John tells Elena he's there to protect her, but he won't tell her more until he's sure he can trust her.
Jenna comes downstairs with Ric and isn't happy to see John there. She says he can't stay there and cites the fact she's Elena's guardian. He trumps her by forcing Elena to admit he's her dad.
Damon questions the wisdom of bringing John, who tried to kill him, back to town. Stefan says John knows about the sacrifice and knows a way to keep Elena safe.
Damon is not enthused.
Stefan gets a 911 text.
Jules talks to Tyler.
Stefan arrives at Caroline's. She catches him up. She doesn't want Damon to know, because she thinks Damon will kill Tyler. She asks Stefan to talk to him.
Jules tries to convince Tyler to leave town with her. She says it's her duty and honor to help him and teach him about being a werewolf.
Damon shows up angry at Elena's house. John's not there. Elena doesn't believe John is there to help. Damon assures her he's going to have a civil conversation with John. She goes with him.
Stefan appears in Tyler's house. When his mom calls out, Stefan chokes him to keep him quiet.
Jules knocks on the trailer of someone named Brady. When he shows up, they do some making out. She tells him the vampires killed Mason, but reminds him she wants "the boy" more than she wants vengeance. He wants both.
Stefan releases Tyler to talk.
At the town vigil, Carol tells John that Damon is leading the council now.
John assures Jeremy that he's not there to start up "anti-vampire stuff." Jeremy offers him his ring back and turns down lunch.
Jeremy sees Bonnie and watches Jonah approach her. She tells him she knows he's working with Elijah. He assures her Elijah will keep his end of the deal to keep everyone safe.
Jeremy interrupts.
Jenna talks with Ric at the Grill. "I can't believe it. Elena is my sister's husband's brother's daughter and her mother is my boyfriend's deceased wife. You can't make this stuff up," Jenna says.
She can't believe they kept the secret.
John comes in and asks to join them. Damon and Elena come in. She asks him to keep it together, to be the better man. Damon greets John with a "buddy."
Stefan tells Tyler that Caroline is his friend and he should stop being a d--- to her. Stefan says vampires don't have to hate werewolves. He says they can keep the secret.
Tyler's phone rings and he manages to say help before Stefan grabs it.
Getting off the phone, Jules announces to Brady that they have a problem.
At the vigil, Damon tells John that he and Stefan are building up a vervane tolerance. He notices John isn't wearing a ring and threatens him. John says he's not talking until he's sure he can trust them.
Caroline walks to hear car. Jeremy stops her, asking to talk. She agrees to come by his work later. He leaves and Jules stops Caroline.
She asks where Tyler is and says she can tell Caroline is lying when she says she doesn't know. Then she maces Caroline with vervane.
Caroline composes herself and recovers, then turns back around.
Brady shoots her in the head.
Caroline wakes up, bleeding in a cage. She pulls the wooden bullet out of her head.
Brady's on the other side. He shoots her again.
Tyler tries to tell Stefan he's convinced, but he doesn't mean it.
Stefan answers a call from Caroline -- it's Jules.
Brady shoots her again so Stefan can hear her scream. Jules demands he bring Tyler in 20 minutes.
At the Grill, Jenna brings her friend Andie Star, the TV reporter, over to meet Damon. He doesn't stay to chat.
Elena is surprised he blew her off, but he says "it's in the best interest of women everywhere" that he's off his game. Stefan calls Elena.
Elena briefs Damon on the situation and forbids him from killing Tyler. He tells her to stop assuming he'll do things just because she asks.
John finds them and keeps Elena there while Damon leaves.
Back in her cage in the mobile home, Caroline whimpers from her bullet wounds. Brady shoots her with vervane from a water gun. He wants to know how many vampires there are in town. He toys with her, shooting a dart at her. All she can do is scream.
John tells Elena not to trust Elijah. She won't listen to a word he says.
Jules and Brady wait by their camper in the woods. Stefan arrives with Tyler, holding onto him. Stefan says he'll let Tyler go when she releases Caroline. Stefan tells her to leave town and Tyler can do what he wants when Caroline is free.
Damon arrives. "Since Stefan got here first I'm going to let him try it his way before I resort to my way, which is a little bloodier," he says.
Damon says without a full moon it's not an even fight. Jules whistles and half a dozen men come out of the woods.
The Salvatores let Tyler go.
Brady asks who killed Tyler and Damon volunteers.
Then a full on werewolf v. vampire fight breaks out. Damon goes for Jules, who does a cool back flip to escape.
A dude with a flamethrower tries to torch Stefan, but Stefan grabs him.
Damon stops one dude in his tracks by ripping his heart out of his chest.
Tyler goes in the camper and sees Caroline. But he doesn't immediately help her.
Stefan stops a stake aimed at his head, then another, turning both back on the throwers. But one guys gets him in the back and he goes down.
Inside, Tyler finally lets Caroline go.
Damon fights another man off, but it felled when Jules shoots him.
Caroline comes outside, but Jules grabs her and puts a gun to the back of her neck. Tyler watches.
Someone is about to stake Stefan when all the vampires except Tyler start grabbing their heads in pain and collapse to the ground. Jonah comes out of the woods doing the total warlock.
"Elijah made a promise to Elena. I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go," he tells the boys.
They leave with Caroline. Jonah tells Tyler to tell the werewolves to get out of town when they wake up.
Stefan walks Caroline home. She tells him she's OK.
John shows up at Damon's. He comes bearing gifts. He shows Damon a dagger and ash from a white oak dating back to the originals. He says the dagger dipped in ash through an original's heart will kill them. John won't say where Isobel is but says if what she's doing works, they won't have to worry about the originals coming for Elena.
Back home, Caroline assess her wounds. Matt calls. She says Bonnie needed her. Matt, calling from the Grill, looks over and sees Bonnie there with Jeremy and knows Caroline is lying.
Tyler visits Caroline. He apologizes and says he had no idea. She asks if he knows what they did to her. He says he doesn't know who to trust because she lied to him.
She says she lied to protect her friends and him.
She reminds him how he just stood there when they were going to kill her. She says that will never happen again and they're not friends anymore. She slams the door in his face.
Back home, John gives Elena a charm bracelet from her mother - Miranda. He says her dad Grayson was his family and he'll do whatever he can to protect her now.
Stefan comes over. Elena tells him she doesn't believe John. She asks about that evening. He says he could use her help.
Tyler visits Jules and Brady. He offers his condolences. Brady offers him moonshine. Brady doesn't understand why Mason stayed in town. Tyler mentions the moonstone, but says he doesn't know where it is.
Stefan knocks on Caroline's door. He brought Bonnie and Elena for a slumber party. Group hug.
Back home in his bath tub, Damon nibbles on the tv reporter's ear. He says he has a problem he needs help with that is really messing with his mind. He confesses that he's in love with a woman he can't have. Then he confesses he kills people.
She starts to freak out, but he compels her to remain calm.
He says it's in his nature to kill, but Elena wants him to be the better man and that means he can't be what's in his nature.
He nuzzles her neck, then chomps down.
Daddy Issues

Down in the tomb, Katherine gets a visitor. It's John. He says Isobel sent him. She says she wants out of the tomb. "I'm already on it," he tells her.

Stefan and Elena get away for what they hope will be a romantic weekend at the Gilbert family lake house, not realizing that they've been followed. Jenna starts to worry that Alaric isn't being honest with her. Jules explains the importance of the sun and moon curse to Tyler, but leaves out an important detail. Damon attends a tea at the Historical Society in order to talk to Elijah, but Elijah isn't giving up any secrets. With help from Caroline and Jeremy, Bonnie uses deceptive measures to get shocking new information out of Luka. Finally, Tyler offers Matt some relationship advice.
