In my case it doesn't matter if I watch it online or on TV because I'm in Canada so my watching doesn't count in TRP.

😔 This is the biggest disadvantage of this TRP system...😡International viewers and online viewers should also be considered...

Well in this case I don't agree. Online viewers could easily cheat the system by playing a video again and again. And how do you count an online viewer? As in which video counts and which doesn't?

Yup...You are right. I missed this thought. But, at least they can count the International Audience that watch the show on TV if not online.

Yeah but even there is a problem. With India there are some service providers who they have to follow, but if they start including international audience then there are so many more service providers to count. At least 5 or 6 service providers per country. That makes it almost 200 * 5 or 200 * 6 providers to trace. I know how hard it must be.

True..Finally, what they can do is that to include HD channels in the TRPs calculation.

They should totally do that! I can't believe they didn't include it to begin with.

Right...😊It is but obviuos that the viewers will shift to HD as it saves time and gives better quality picture and sound...

Not only that but there are less ads. Maybe that's why they don't include HD because then the TV guys won't get paid for advertisements.
