29.1 Pollock to Dilshan, 1 run, Good delivery on middle and cutting back in, tucked away to the leg side

29.2 Pollock to Arnold, no run, Full ball on off. Driven to mid-off. Much better spell from Pollock, the sort we've been accustomed to over the years. The last game was a nightmare for him, where he conceded his most expensive one-day figures, and this didn't start too promisingly.

29.3 Pollock to Arnold, 1 run, Mistimed pull to backward square leg

29.4 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, Pitched on middle and angling in, tapped to the leg side

29.5 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, Teasing line again, DIlshan can only go on the backfoot and defend. Good decision by Smith to bring back Pollock at this stage. The pressure is on and it provides Pollock a chance to regain his rhythm.

29.6 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, Offcutter cut straight to point. Good spell of bowling from South Africa. Last ten overs have produced just 28. Nothing much wrong with the pitch, the centre of attention before the match. It's slightly on the slow side with some spongy bounce but no major demons there. Time for drinks

End of over 30 (2 runs) - Sri Lanka 114/5 (RR: 3.80)

TIme for some spin. Peterson comes on.

30.1 Peterson to Arnold, no run, lands outside off stump, goes on straight, punched to cover

30.2 Peterson to Arnold, no run, lands outside off, turns in, nudged to the on side

30.3 Peterson to Arnold, no run, beaten in the flight. Full and Arnold shapes to drive but is beaten by the turn and the ball thuds into the pad

30.4 Peterson to Arnold, 1 wide, slips down the leg side

30.4 Peterson to Arnold, no run, floated on the off stump line, not much turn, defended on the front foot

30.5 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, low full-toss, driven to long on

30.6 Peterson to Dilshan, 1 run, lands outside leg stump line, turns, Dilshan leans forward, opens the bat-face and guides it to point

End of over 31 (3 runs) - Sri Lanka 117/5 (RR: 3.77)

31.1 Pollock to Dilshan, 1 run, full, outside off stump, Dilshan waits, wrists it through point

31.2 Pollock to Arnold, no run, off cutter, around off stump, driven on the up to mid-off

31.3 Pollock to Arnold, 1 run, on the middle and leg stump line, turned to the midwicket gap

31.4 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, shout for lbw. Slow off cutter on the off stump line, Dilshan shuffles across, gets outside off stump and tries to work it to on side. The point of impact was just outside off. Only just.

31.5 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, similar line, Dilshan is careful not to go square and drives in the V, to mid-on

31.6 Pollock to Dilshan, 2 runs, full, straight, on the middle stump line, Dilshan stays adjacent to the line, drives inside-out to left of mid-off

End of over 32 (4 runs) - Sri Lanka 121/5 (RR: 3.78)

32.1 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, floated outside off, driven powerfully to long on

32.2 Peterson to Dilshan, no run, drifting in from outside off stump, Dilshan pads it away and there is a huge shout from Boucher and even bigger one from Peterson who bowled that from round the stumps. Camera pans to Bucknor. Impassive. Statue. And slowly he opens his mouth and shouts, NOT OUT. The ball was turning and would have missed off stump

32.3 Peterson to Dilshan, no run
32.4 Peterson to Dilshan, 1 run, fullish, on the middle stump line and again

Dilshan drives inside-out to long off

32.5 Peterson to Arnold, no run, lands outside off, comes in defended away

32.6 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, slightly short, on the stumps, driven down the ground

End of over 33 (3 runs) - Sri Lanka 124/5 (RR: 3.75)

Uday is having a close eye on both the matches. "Did you know at 118/5 both teams (Aus/WI and SL Vs SA) that are playing were 118/5 simultaneously"

And now both teams are on 125 for 5.

33.1 Pollock to Arnold, 1 run, outside off stump, dabbed away to third man

33.2 Pollock to Dilshan, 1 run

33.3 Pollock to Arnold, 1 run, slow off cutter, on the leg stump line, nudged to midwicket

33.4 Pollock to Dilshan, 2 runs, full in length, around off stump, this is a slow wicket, the ball rarely hurries on to the bat and Dilshan has enough time to force it through the off side ring

33.5 Pollock to Dilshan, no run, on the off and middle stump line, moves in a touch, worked to midwicket

33.6 Pollock to Dilshan, 2 runs, full and straight, on the off stump line, Dilshan wrists it away behind point. He stays adjacent to the line usually, doesn't get behind it and that gives him room to square-drive or punch deliveries on the off and sometimes even on off and middle.

End of over 34 (7 runs) - Sri Lanka 131/5 (RR: 3.85)

34.1 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, short in length, outside off stump, Arnold cuts it past point

34.2 Peterson to Dilshan, 1 run, slow through the air, drifting in from round the stumps, Dilshan is down the ground and drives to long-off

34.3 Peterson to Arnold, no run, on the off stump line, slight turn, worked to the on side

34.4 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, similar delivery but this time Arnold chooses to sweep.

34.5 Peterson to Dilshan, 1 run, flat, on the off stump line, slight turn and Dilshan rocks back, makes room and cuts it to sweeper cover

34.6 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, short in length, flat, on the middle stump line, driven to long-on.

End of over 35 (5 runs) - Sri Lanka 136/5 (RR: 3.88)

RP Arnold 14* (33b) RJ Peterson 3-0-11-0

Intiaz: How is the pitch playing, seems to help the seamers a bit. Is the outfield quick? How do you guys like the stadium, among the best in the WI?

It has got slower as the game has progressed. There is some turn but it is Peterson who is bowling. So really can't say how much turn is there. He rarely gives air or rips it. The stadium is fab. From Dileep Premachandran's tour diary, "The one thing you can say is that it's a beautiful ground, with a lush green outfield and three magnificent stands. But the prettiest part of it is undoubted the grassy mound, perhaps modelled on the old Hill in Sydney and the similar patch of grass at Adelaide. For those looking to party, it will undoubtedly be the place to be, especially if the sun comes out and the beer starts to flow."

35.1 Smith to Arnold, no run, defended on the front foot

35.2 Smith to Arnold, 1 run, flighted delivery, swept to long leg

35.3 Smith to Dilshan, FOUR, low full-toss and Dilshan swings it over midwicket. Clean strike.

35.4 Smith to Dilshan, 1 run, tossed-up, driven to extra cover

35.5 Smith to Arnold, 1 run

35.6 Smith to Dilshan, no run, sharp turn there. Muralitharan would be looking at that closely. Landed outside off stump, Dilshan backed away to cut but is surprised as the ball breaks in sharply and he adjusts it by stabbing it away

End of over 36 (7 runs) - Sri Lanka 143/5 (RR: 3.97)

36.3 Peterson to Arnold, 1 run, on the middle and off stump line, full in length, Arnold leans forward, whips it through square-leg

36.4 Peterson to Dilshan, no run

36.5 Peterson to Dilshan, no run, floats in arm-ball, Dilshan comes down the track, drives but straight to cover

36.6 Peterson to Dilshan, 1 run, will retain the strike with a drive to long on
