India make a mockery of West Indies' 178. Jaiswal set the tone by getting off the mark with a boundary off the very first ball of the chase. Scored 10 runs off the opening over, struck three fours off a Holder over and then hit back-to-back boundaries off Shepherd. Gill, on the other hand, was watchful at the start but he made up for that in quick time. It was an eventful powerplay with India scoring 66 runs, hitting plenty of boundaries (7 fours from Jaiswal, 3 sixes and a four from Gill) and not losing a wicket. The openers continued to score at a brisk rate and brought up the century partnership in the tenth over. Gill notched up a fifty after three successive single-digit scores and Jaiswal raised his maiden T20I fifty in the same over. West Indies looked clueless against the onslaught. The 165-run opening stand eventually came to an end when Gill holed out to deep mid-wicket but that wicket came very late for the Windies. India romped home with 18 balls. Earlier, Hetmyer top-scored and Shai Hope batted well in his comeback match but 178 turned out to be inadequate. Presentations coming up shortly...

1.55pm India have pulled off the highest successful chase on this venue and they have done so with utter ease. Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal absolutely bossed the proceedings, giving nothing away. Gill fell for 77 but by the time he was out, India were already all but assured of victory and Jaiswal went on to stay unbeaten on 84 in just his second T20I. Of course, it was brilliant bowling performances from Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav that helped keep West Indies under 180. Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope stood tall for West Indies, but in the end it was not nearly enough for them. And now we will have a decider tomorrow! Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony that's coming up shortly.
