Josh Little will take the new ball. Both teams take a knee, Ervine raises a clenched fist too.

Zimbabwe's kit is predominantly yellow for this tournament, but they still have the trademark red trousers and pads. Chakabva and Ervine run out to open up.

Rousing rendition of Ireland's Call as the teams line up on the outfield. A decent pocket of fans in green. Hands on chests for Zimbabwe's players during their anthem.

Little to Chakabva, OUT

Pace and bounce, Little strikes early! 86mph/138kph, back of a length. Nips back appreciably to cramp Chakabva for room, and he can only feather through to Tucker via the shoulder of the bat. What a start for the Irish!

Regis Chakabva c †Tucker b Little 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0

Simi Singh to Ervine, out Stumped!! Simi Singh strikes now and he is pumped. Ervine shimmies down the track and gets outside leg, opens the off-side up but tries to go leg-side and misses. Was drifting in to him and he misses the hoick, Tucker with a smart stumping to give Ireland wickets in successive overs. The anchor of the Zimbabwean innings falls. Ervine st Tucker b Simi Singh 9(12) [4s-1]
