Artificial Umpiring/Refereeing

I have this crazy idea about umpiring/refereeing in the live matches. What if we use artificial intelligence cameras as umpires/referees in the live cricket or football match. I guess that system can produce accurate decisions in real-time. With AI cameras, human errors could be avoided. And the delay in reviewing could be minimized. Smart algorithms can make quick decisions compared to humans. What do you think?

This groovy idea may not be an appealing one for many. Although we favour humans on the ground, I think this is what the sports & entertainment industry holds for the future. Deploying ai services in sports will help to eliminate human errors while taking decisions. I know many would argue that it can kill the spirit of the game, as they had opposed the idea of VAR. But, I believe the deployment of artificial intelligence will only boost the overall outcome of the game. Showing cards/ whistling without rechecking the foul/offside could be avoided.
