Just finished watching Bando mein tha dum. It is awesome…👍🏼 Its a must watch series guys 👏

I was waiting to watch it as I don’t get time to follow cricket regularly after moving here.

But I knew about all the nostalgia around the match as I was keeping myself updated with news during the same time.

What a journey of a team from Adelaide Oval to Gabba (Brisabane). 👏

One of the best docu web series I have watched on cricket.

Thank you Suyash for letting me know that it has already up on ott. 👍🏼

Oh that match and that series? We went to a picnic on the final day. From the whole group, only 3 people (my husband, his friend and I) were interested in knowing the score. There was no signal. Luckily our friend had a sat phone. We were able to listen to scores intermittently. Washington Sundar and Sardul Thakur kept us hooked to the phone. It was a 1 and half journey to this picnic. As soon as we arrived at home, we left everything in the car, dashed inside the house to turn the TV on to watch the remaining match. What a match and what an outcome!

If I am not wrong, Sundar was with the team for net practice and he did not even have a proper kit for the match. He had to go for shopping before the match began.

When I was scrolling through latest web series, I received your message.

I will certainly watch it.smiley20

Cheers..

Ty — I will add to my list of things to watch for sure…. I might actually watch today’s math (or least parts) as I am doing clean up morning on Father’s Day :) …

Latest news is Dinesh Kartik likely In WC…current forms he definitely deserves it…. I still think I would have also chosen Dhawan over some of the current ones in squad tbh…

But do the selectors really pick team based on ipl only? If you want ipl performances pick players who played in Ipl only. For example do anyone of Rohit/Kohli/Pant deserve a spot in the team? Why is Hardik not captain? Where are the best Indian pacers in Arshdeep and Umran? Where is Samson? Where is Hooda? Where is Tripathi? Wtf is axar/shreyas doing in the team?

To me this analysis is just another one like Ipl is affecting the quality of English test team. They chase a target at 6rpo with the only player in Ipl scoring a test 100 and crediting ipl for the improvement.

Our rare moment of disagreement. I dont know exact total but its over 400 games total. And why would not consider form in IPL esp for choosing t20 squad and towards forming the WC squad. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see who is hungry, how they performing etc. And drop the ones that are just playing woefully…. Just like last t20 World Cup… perhaps, just perhaps we would have not had a 10 wicket loss to Pakistan? To your questions on where is —— only selectors can decide…. And as much as I love Rohit as player and also captain and also Kohli … currently their form dictates they be out…. Thats my view —- clearly not selectors —- so don’t worry —- yeah tha mera 2 cents thats as worthless as the markets are currently these days.. .…. 🤣

Thats exactly what I feel… when you wear the Indian jersey - that has to be the proudest and best moment and best effort ….. The best thing I feel about IPL is that it actually allows sports to be something parents will be comfortable for kids to pursue beyond gully cricket (even tho odds are still horrible - they are way better now for a chance at something) and I am also hoping that some other sports league get more funding and better….1.3B people can do better than traditional “science/commerce/arts” .. which has been happening,… but gains more momentum :)

I still maintain - I do not see the hunger there from some “seniors” (some - ofc exceptions like we seeing Kartik these days or even dhawan in IPL etc)….

Well people do tend to get into their own comfort zone if they are not challenged or threatened. And those who can sustain that hunger and continues working super hard becomes legend.

It was Natarajan i think. Because Sundar I think was already in the squad for odis and t20s before the tour. But Natarajan was in the team only as Net bowler. Then he played in odis because someone got injured. Then varun got injured and he played t20s. Then situations became such that he also played tests. It was a toss up between kartik and him and kartik wasn't preferred because he was just 19.
