Thanks anon.........something like this happened few yrs back too, then i had just changed the date of my pc n laptop, so from today im on 2nd april.......dont want my pc to change to 1st april........

Maybe if you read, you would understand that it may not be the April 1st, here it is below.

Q: So, what will it do on April 1st?
A: So far, Conficker has been polling 250 different domain names every day to download and run an update program. On April 1st, the latest version of Conficker will start to poll 500 out of 50,000 domains a day to do the same thing.

: But doesn't that mean that if the bad guys wanted to run something on those machines, they don't need to wait for April 1st?
A: Yes! Which is another reason why it's unlikely anything major will happen on April 1st.

: So, should I keep my PC shut down on April 1st?
A: No. You should make sure it's clean before April 1st.

A: Yes, you're confused. There is not going to be a "global virus attack". The machines that are already infected might do something new on April 1st. We know this because we have reverse engineered the worm code and can see that this is what it has been programmed to do.

Q: And they could download that program not just on April 1st but also on any day after that?
A: Correct. So there's no reason why they wouldn't do it on, say, April 5th instead of April 1st.

And fazila - go to link i provided the f secure one, apprently chaning your pc clocks does nothing, as to get the date they go onto sites like google etc to get the date.

If you want to take it as an April Fool's joke, go right ahead, but that wasn't her intention. And please respect her for showing concern for you because she could be least bothered with what happens to your PC.

Well i honestly doubt its Aoril day fool - because if you read article this worm has been around for ages, and why would all websites be reporting the same and News Articles? As if it was April Fool only one website would report it as a joke - but i doubt it😳

A second, more aggressive strain followed in December and a third this month. This contains the all-important April 1 trigger

^^ thats wat it says and worm is a true one. and like i copied pasted the Q and A - doesnt mean it will actually happen on 1st April - but again website is truthful because it states that. Reasd through the Q and A.

Yeah the news is true, even the anti virus programs tell the same, seem so...........
