Does anyone else agree ...or disagree....that having an 8 year old in the middle of all the grown up jokes, without the possibility of actually understanding them, is a little unfair for the child...no matter how talented she is?
IMO, she is very talented and gives great expressions, but makes a situation quite uncomfortable as some jokes are too old for her to even listen to , let alone participate in...
I would like to hear different opinions on how you feel about this...maybe it is just me feeling uneasy with it....😳...

I completely agree with you. In fact, my parents and I were discussing the other day that if any of the act contains any adult jokes, it should be directed towards adults only. It is unfair to a kid to be admist all this, as essentially you are snatching away their innocence in a way. What I find more apalling is that not only does she sit through this content, but is also made a part of it because sometimes, even in her own acts, filthy things are mentioned. As well, I personally find 'cleaner' jokes more funny than dirty jokes anyway, since adult jokes are mostly disgusting and not funny. In fact, like many people, having grown up in a cultured hosehold, I disapprove of any kind of adult jokes, but then again, that is my personal preference. But yes, I 100% agree with you that it is unfair to Saloni, who undoubtedly is a talented child, to sit through this. Either take the child out of the show, or clean up the acts. Latter is difinately preferred :)

Thanks for your response, kelta😊

Iwas begining to think that there was something wrong with my train of thought.......as I did not get a response on this.
I am assuming people are ok with it....I find it quite awful, personally.

@kichwamaji: I definately dont believe there is anything wrong in our thinking, on the contrary, it makes complete sense. Kids should remain kids and enjoy their childhood. If anyone is alright with a kid being on a show where adults jokes are being cracked, THEIR thinking is flawed. But I am sure, we are not the only ones with this opinion. Although there may be a lot of silent members on this forum, they may also share the same opinion :). I was in fact thinking of writing this message to the 'Optimistix' production and creative team requesting them to clean their acts up a bit. Again, I agree that its disheartening to watch a kid admidst all this. Its just not right. Anyway, I'll try and post up their contact address in a couple of days, so that whoever visits this thread and has the same issue, can contact them.

So why is comedy circus allowing this? Why is it ok for a little girl to be amidst all this?
Why isnt anyone questioning the parents??
Why would parents allow their daughter to participate in adult jokes?
