For ionic compounds we put + and - on the top right of the ions. Where is lewis_structure.gif? Can you post that picture?
Also, let me know for which ionic compounds you need lewis diagrams?

@v3gradev09,
Show electrons in outermost orbit of each atom after the electron transfer has taken place. Cover the atom or group which loses electron inside [ ] and put + on top right of [ ]. Cover atom or group which gains electron inside [ ] and put - on top right of [ ].

Example - NaCl
Na has 1 electron in its outermost orbit and Cl has 7. Na gives 1 electron to Cl.
So do not show any electron for Na. Show 8 electrons around Cl. Put Na inside [ ] and write +. Put Cl and its 8 electrons inside [ ] and write -.

-----------------.

Let me know if any doubts.
