^ Sorry after looking at the data again, I believe my work force was greater than the pulley's work force.

Domain is the values of the x in the function such that it turns out to be a real number!

For example,

f(x)=(x+2)/(x-3)

Domain of this function is all real number except 3 because 3 will make the denominator zero hence not a real number. Other way to write the domain of this fuction is (-infinity,3)U(3, infinity)

^ Thanks so much, did B and I got 21 degrees Celsius. And for C, I put for temperatures more than 0 degrees, water is better because it can take in heat without changing its temperature as much as methanol does. Could you see both my labs on pg. 55.?

Sorry yeah you're right that was number 3, just noticed. Oh sorry, that 13.15 doesn't exist, I multiplies 1500 by 114 to get 171000. Power of kettle is 1500 watts. And yup you're right about the rest, and 1min and 54 minutes is 114 seconds.

For 1, this is what I tried doing, not sure if right. Ee = Pt

= 1500*114

= 1.7*10^5 J

Correct. The value you calculated in #1 is Ein
You solved #2 correctly in previous post. That is the value of Euseful.
For #3, use the formula:

(Euseful/Ein) * 100 %

#4. The rest of energy goes into surroundings, such as surrounding air, the wire through which the current flows and the body of the kettle.

For each pulley system, you must have calculated load and effort force. So u can find mechanical advantage.

^ thanks and yup have finished the lab atlast, thank you =) But do you know the hidden shortcut to determine M.A for a pulley system without calculating?
